5.0 out of 5 stars Very Moving!!
I brought this book about eight months ago and I just finished reading it. When I started to read it eight months ago, it was so sad and I just cried and cried and I knew it was not going to end the way I wanted it to, so I stopped reading it. Now eight months later I'm still crying. I finished the book with tears in my eyes. "Everlastin' Love" is a very...

1.0 out of 5 stars A Study in Sorrow
This book should have been listed as a tragic novel rather than a romance novel, albeit written well and the story exemplifies true love, it is NOT the reason I read romance stories. I read romance novels for escapism and some form of happily ever after, this book was nothing close to either. Truthfully, I was left sad and angry and that is just not the reason I want to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Moving!!, December 13, 2000
I brought this book about eight months ago and I just finished reading it. When I started to read it eight months ago, it was so sad and I just cried and cried and I knew it was not going to end the way I wanted it to, so I stopped reading it. Now eight months later I'm still crying. I finished the book with tears in my eyes. "Everlastin' Love" is a very powerful book, well it was for me. I have never cried so much reading a book before. Don't get me wrong it was a great book, just a sad one. For me personally, the first love was a sweet story in itself. Qwayz and Jaz were a couple made in heaven. I just wished that they had a forever type of romance. Now Kyle and Jaz 's relationship was great. Kyle had to be the most special man, because he loved Jaz enough not to pressure her about her feelings. This book was a true lesson in love, loving someone so much you can let them go,taking your own happiness away so that there love of your life can be happy! A must, must, must read!! P.S. I'm still crying as I speak!

5.0 out of 5 stars TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES, April 23, 2001

Sometimes, everyone needs a good cry. This had to be one of the saddest books I have ever read. I found it hard to put this book down even though by the time I finished, I had went through a half box of Kleenex! It was true romance without the sex. You can actually feel the love between the main characters. Be prepared to bring out the tissues if you decide to read it. It is truly worth the time and the money. I was still crying days later just thinking about this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get out your handkerchiefs!, June 12, 1998
This review is from: Everlastin' Love (Mass Market Paperback)
Everlastin' Love is a real tear-jerker. It combines a love story with the turbulent political, social, economic and musical components of the years between 1968 and 1985. It is an incredible work.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a surpirse!!!, January 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this book a while ago, and as a military spouse it hit too close to home, and I put it down intending to never read it. Well, I finally sat down and read it and this is a great book! I cried throughout the entire book, but it was a beautiful love story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Pure and Innocent Love, April 17, 2009
Everlastin' Love left an everlasting impression on my heart and soul. I felt every heartache Jaz felt as she struggled for ten years to come to terms with letting go of a love that was so pure and innocent. I found myself having to close the book for a few minutes to emotionally get myself together before I could continue reading. I guess this story was so touching because I can only imagine how many young women found themselves in Jaz's shoes as their husbands, boyfriends, & lovers went off to Vietnam never to return again. This is a heartwarming story that will touch you like no other.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Most Thought Provoking Story, February 24, 2009
I finished reading this book today and I can't stop thinking about it. It was the most thought provoking book I have ever read.
I don't want to give the story away, but the ending will have you saying WOW!! OH My GOD!!!
Jasmine and Qwayz had a spiritual love that is simply indescribable. No wonder it took her ten years to deal with his death.
Kyle was an amazing man. I don't know many men who wouldn't have been threaten by the love Jaz and Qwayz had for each other, even though Qwayz was gone forever. It made me wonder if I would have had as hard a time as Jaz did moving on with her life. Then again, Kyle truly was Prince Charming. Not many women are lucky enough to find the love the Jaz was able to experience in two totally different men.
You won't truly understand the depth of Qwayz's love until the end of the book. It was sad, but it also made me think of the Bible, specifically 1 Corinthians 13 versus 4-10.
It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about the true measure of love that was expressed in this book. This was truly an amazing story of love and definitely not your typical romance.
3/5/09 It has been a couple of weeks since I read this book and I am still thinking about it. I have read about 7 books since I read this book and they are unable to take my mind off this story. I heard Too Young by Nat King Cole today for the first time in my life and started crying because it made me think of this book. I am unable to tell anyone about the story without it bringing tears to my eyes. This book has had a more profound affect on me than any book I have ever read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Forever my Love, January 7, 2009
I'm an avid reader, but never in all my years of reading have I ever read such a beautiful love story like this one. I just hope, Gay G. Gunn continues to write more loving love stories. I had to read the book twice to stop crying.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! Slow to Start but WOW, December 3, 2008
When I began to read this book, I was bored because of the slow start. It had too many details that I did not care about, but I kept at it anyway. About half way through the book, I began to really appreciate the details because it made the story richer. By the end I was won over. This was a beautiful love story. One thing I really enjoyed about this book was - it was not sex-focused. The sex scenes were not as detailed as I am used to and I enjoyed the break. There was some sad moments, but a really good story will make you both happy and sad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everlatin' Love, May 1, 2000
This review is from: Everlastin' Love (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the ultimate love story. The devotion that Qwayze shows toward Jaz is powerful. And the "everlating love" that Jaz shows for Qwayze is what true love is supposed to be like. If you would like to go through ever emotion read this book.
