Iadored the cover, I adored the book and the primary and secondary characters. I was quite taken with the 3 sequels. The Frustration didn't come in until the end of the fourth book (Hope Everlastin'). Everything was left up in the air and dangling. I even found out via an E-mail from the author, that the 5th chapter was to have been titled "Time Everlastin'" and was almost coplete. That was summer 2001. Sadly, it's now summer 2002 and the book has still not been published. It seems Ms. Madden got dumped by her publisher and has yet to find another. Too bad, it was agreat series. I'd love to know how it all came out. That's the everlastin' frustration. Don't start if not
being able to finish will bother you as much as it does me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hauntingly Magical!, February 20, 2000
This review is from: Everlastin' (Paperback)
The first of four books, _Everlastin'_ is the divine tale of a love so powerful even death can't hinder it. Lachlan Baird has overcome death and waited 150 years for a woman to fill his heart with love. He finds that love in the very modern Beth Staples. The story of their love is moving, heavenly and at times even heart wrenching. Ms. Madden has done a superb job by taking romance to the next step. _Everlastin'_ has a thoroughly unique premise, one that is at once enchanting and mystical. You'll fall head over heels in love with Lachlan and his lilting Scottish burr. You'll feel his pain as he watches Beth suffer, knowing there's nothing he can do to stop the inevitable. You'll delight as these two kindred souls find each other, though time and death would try to keep them apart. In the end you'll know that a love like this comes around once in a lifetime and when it does it's everlastin'. Be sure to look for the other books in this series, _Dusk Before Dawn_, _Love Everlastin'_ and _Hope Everlastin'_ for more of Beth, Lachlan, Roan and the beautiful Scottish mansion Baird House -- where mystery, magic and love reign.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hoo, boy...., March 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Everlastin' (Paperback)
This book had promise (that's why I bought it): the plot had potential, and the characters started out fairly strong. But it became very stupid very quickly. And thanks to this author, I can't BEAR to hear a Scottish accent. This author should never, EVER try to replicate an accent in dialogue again!
