Carl Carlton is a vastly under-appreciated singer from the 70's. while many will always remember his big hit 'bad mama jamma', Mr.Carlton had a terrific voice that could sing pretty much any type of song. while this cd does contain the majority of his hits, the one I most wish had been included is his classic dance version of the four tops 'baby I need your loving'. his version is probably the best interpretion of that gem of a song second only to the magnificent Levi Stubbs. all in all this cd does contain a really good variation of what the talented Carl Carlton could do with a song. Enjoy.

talk about a cat that can sing/sang and with such force and drive? Carl Carlton made an impression on my ears way back in the day, "Everylasting Love" alone is the kind of classic song and the way he sings it, you just feel the emotions there. very underrated cat who never has gotten his due. bout time this collection makes it way now though. a must have. he still got it vocally as well.

I am so thankful that this CD was released. I have tried for years to obtain many of the songs on this CD ("Smokin Room", "Morning, Noon, and Nightime", "I Won't Let That Chump Break Your Heart" etc.). This CD does not disappoint!
