Kim, you are an incredible singer, and I know a lot of singers. You have encouraged my singing,(and my entire family's) ever since I heard you first. I hope that you understand the singing ability God has given you. The notes and patterns of notes that you sing so masterfully, can't be comprehended by even the greatest of singers. You truly have elevated the minds of many musicians to a new height. You've opened our ears to sounds we had not yet experienced. You possess within you a special gift. Remember the devil would love to discourage you, but the gift that God has blessed you with "will make room for you," even in those times it doesn't seem as though it's working out, just remember His word is always true and forever will be. The customer reviews are just a sign of what God has given you. "Everlasting Life" is a true blessing to my soul. This album is awesome and annointed! You can listen to it from beginning to end with pure pleasure. "Holy Spirit" is truly a gem. People will appreciate this song even more if they see Kim Burrell sing it in live in person. She really conveys what having the Holy Spirit is all about. "Prodigal Son" is endearing and meaningful. It is a song about forgiveness and repentance. It shows that you always have a place to call home if you get on the right path to get back there. "It's Not Supposed To Be This Way" is a song that every married and engaged couple should listen to. It'll teach you how to remain married and not allow the negative forces of this world to destroy what God has put together. "I Come To You More Than I Give" is simply a song that expresses how we all tend to live at times. We ask God for more than what we give unto Him, yet He is always giving us grace and mercy despite whether or not we deserve it. "Everlasting Life" symbolizes and tells a story about what we all try to achieve, and that's everlasting life in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I have had the benefit of seeing Kim Burrell in concert a few times, and it's truly a blessed event. You will only enjoy her album more if you have the chance to see her perform live. She is a true performer and an anointed singer who sings with the annointing from God above. Her album is like a spiritual guide that will lead you to live a righteous life. You can listen to this album everyday and never get tired of it. It's a true spiritual blessing and musical gem. Without doubt it is one of my all-time favorite albums. God is Love!

My boy came to me one day and was like man you gotta hear this girl named Kim Burrell, (this was when the album first dropped). I was a little skeptical about listening to a "No Name", but when I heard it, I was instantly hooked. Kim Burrell is off the chains. With a SMOKIN' HOTT BAND behind her, she has no limits. This album is absolutely insane. Songs like "I'll Keep Holding On", "Holy Ghost", and "Lift Jesus" are the more tradiitional type songs with a live band in the studio. While other songs like "It's Not Suppose To Be This Way", " I Come To You More Than I Give", and "Everlasting Life" are the studio tracks. The band gets a couple of tracks to display their skills as well, on "Kim's Request", "Prodical Son (Reprise)", and "Tribute". "Over and Over Again" really gives Kim and the band serious props from singers and musicians everywhere.

Most people don't know this, but she had an album out before this one called TRY ME AGAIN (which we found a little later after EVERLASTING LIFE), which has a simalar format with musical selections, etc. In fact, the original "I Found Him" is on this project.

Kim Burrell has really blessed my soul and ministry in music. Not only with this album, but with everything and everyone she has ministered on/with. I appreciate everything that you have done up until this point. Stay strong in God and continue to do what you have been doing.

I learned of Kim Burrell by accident. I attended a concert in which she was one of the headliners. However, I had never heard of her. When Kim openedher mouth, all that I could say was WOW! She was so annointed, she mezmorized not only me, but the entire audience, (close to 500 people). The next day, I had to buy her album. Not only is this sister incredibly gifted, but holy ghost filled. Her ministry through music has inspired me in so many ways. Everlasting Life, and Kim's first album have heavy rotation in my CD player. Kim Burrell's voice and musical talent is phenomenal. Both of her CD's are a must. GO AND GET THEM!

Kim Burrell, what can I say about this woman of God! She is highly anointed! I mean before she sing a tune she allows God to use her to talk and minister to you! Then you go into another hemisphere when she begins singing! One thing I love about Kim is she does not entertain you! When she hit the platform she's not in the flesh, but she allows the anointing of the Holy Ghost take over! And thats how spiritual needs are met, when the artist are performing under the anointing! Kim CD is one that would reach the saved, unsaved, backslider, discouraged, encouraged! This is a must have for everyone CD collection! Can't wait for the next one! Never have I heard a cd that makes me want to shout on every song on the album. Not to hate on Vickie, Yolanda, Karen, Shirley, or Mary Mary, all of you are my sisters in Christ who have been blessed with o' some gifts. But Kim Burrell has raised the bar of Gospel Music with the cd "Everlasting Life." She has exemplified true musicianship in the way she manipulates her voice to let you know just how good God has been to her. Her lyrics are the most spiritual lyrics I have heard in a long time, and her voice does them every bit of justice. Keep singing Kim you are truly a blessing to all of those who hear your voice. I know personally I have recived the weirdest looks from people who drive alongside of me because when Kim is on I am praising sometimes so much that I lose control of my car. And in the words of James Cleveland: "May the Lord God bless you real good."

What can I say.. Kim Burrell... Awesome. I am truly at a loss for words at the mere mention of her name. It's interesting, though, because while most people my age, 18, look to gospel as something to get as far away from as possible, after introducing the ones I have come across to this woman of God.. they are forced to re-evaluate their decision. This woman is my mentor.. though we have never once met, nor spoken, nor probably ever will, however, God has caused her to be one who has such great influence upon my life. Her songs are emotional, range, incredible, runs.... whew, those runs. In a word, they are dynamic, but that does not do her justice. Dynamic can not encapsulate the fluidity, and flawlessness of her vocal quality an technique. As a suggestion, what ever you find that has Kim Burrell on it, do not hesitate to pick it up. Do not wait until you hear the cd from someone else. By faith, buy it!! You wil never be disappointed. I love you Ms. Burrell, stay encouraged!! And to all of my fellow music lovers, let the melodies from heaven rain down upon your ears, and the music from above come forth through your lips, adding a blessing to the ears of all!! Stay blessed...

I think about buying other albums but end up changing my mind because I haven't *quite* played this one out yet. Buying anything else right now would be pointless because I'll just end up putting it to the side while I listen to "Everlasting Life" non-stop. Every song! From "Over and Over, Again" to "Holy Ghost" to "I Come To You More Than I Give" to "I'll Keep Holding On"...I'm only disappointed that I didn't buy it sooner. People tried to tell me how BAD she was, but I had no idea. Her tone, the lyrics, the band, her RUNS - the whole CD is so inspiring, especially for me being a singer. Someone lent me "Live in Concert" before I got this one - a good CD, but not nearly as impressive as EL. Kim Burrell has a new fanatic! Thank God for her and her amazing talent.

Kim you are anointed and appointed! God has truly blessed you with a voice like none other. Not only do you reach out to the sinners but you also have helped the hurting saints. Continue to grow strong in God. I have listened to your music for quite some time now and everytime I listen there's a pouring of the anointing that comes upon me. Thank you so much for allowing God to use you. I pray that as I continue to sing unto God that I can reach the multitudes as you do Woman Of God!

I had the opportunity to experience the true gift of a gospel artist many years ago. Her name is Vanessa Bell Armstrong, the song was "Nobody But Jesus" and it blew me away! I had not heard a gospel singer with such magnitude and creativity before Vanessa except Aretha Franklin but I could not appreciate Aretha as a gospel artist, only R&B. Vanessa's timing was precise and her voice was very spiritual with runs and riffs. I was so blessed by her album,I could'nt get enough until I bought another album by her. It has been downhill ever since. She has made some hits and many misses. She compromised her gift from GOD for commercialism!
When I first heard Kim Burrell it took me back to that amazing annointing that Vanessa Bell Armstrong once possessed! Kim's singing lifted my GOD conciousness to a new level and put nothing but Love in my heart!! It made me realize, that which is not used for its intended purpose can become lost. HE blesses those that stay on our knees, in HIS WORD and waits on HIS guidance. Through our disobedience we become destined towards mediocrity.
Kim, please remain obedient and continue to do the work of the LORD. Thank you for using the words God, Lord and Jesus in your songs. You do not create enigmas through your singing. You are a blessing to many!
