Product Description

True love knows no bounds-or no boundaries as it turns out! Successful, good-looking Youji only has eyes for Noboru. For 20 years, he's stalked his target of affection relentlessly...showing up at Noboru's work unannounced, sabotaging his relationships and otherwise being a pain in the you-know-where. Will he ever get the message? Noboru's not interested in him-how many ways can he possibly say it?! But is sheer, uncompromising determination the key to love? Can Noboru open his heart to someone he's annoyed by, but who simply refuses to take "no" for an answer?

Ryoko Chiba's first collection of seven short stories features a cast of characters all seeking the same thing: the path to everlasting love wherever they can find it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty enjoyable soft Yaoi. 3.5 stars, April 15, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Pretty enjoyable stories on 6 different couples :
First story tells of 2 white collar workers, the successful seme has been chasing after the uke since childhood. His tactics include getting rid of all the uke's girlfriends to the extent of seducing them. This one is rated 3.5 stars.

2nd one is on 2 students, one of them from a rich and powerful family. This one is the weakest of the lot (2.5 stars).

3rd title "My Sweet Home" is my favorite. Here a 31 year old cafe owner adopts an 8 year old orphan who recently loses his parents. 10 years later affection and care turn to love but it is time for the orphan to make his mark in the world. Will they stay together? Rated : 4.5 stars. There is a short bonus on this couple, titled "My sweet room" which is romantic and sweet.

The 4th story on 2 kindergaten teachers is cute and funny. Like the quiet seme here with his ponytail and the child-like but "knows what he wants' uke. Rate : 4 stars.

The 5th story on a love triangle among 3 students with 3 distinct characters is OK but could have been better? Rated : 3 stars
"A town in the evening" about 2 small town guys maybe your typical love story but nicely done. Rated : 3.5 stars.

The artwork is OK but most of the boys look alike but with different hair shading. This is soft Yaoi, with the "body parts" sort of faded out which is really quite silly. So if you are looking for real sex, this is not for you but the story lines make this collection a pretty good read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Look under the dust jacket!, August 3, 2008

lore (Neverwhere) - See all my reviews
Normally, I don't much like books with multiple stories in them because I find the individual stories too short and unsatisfying. Most of the stories in this book, however, have little twists or go that extra distance to be a little bit special. I emphasize the word "little" because I don't want you to expect miracles -- just stories that might be a bit more memorable, or interesting enough to make you want to reread the volume some day.

The other reviewer did a good job summarizing the stories. I wouldn't have given the third story so many stars; I found the age gap too wide for *my* taste, but I would have given other stories higher ratings, so there's a broad appeal here. I also agree that the characters look too similar from one story to the next, but that happens with many multi-story books. Oh, and the mangaka's notes (artist notes) are some of the most cute and understandable notes I've read.

Overall, I would give this volume 3.5 stars if I could. And finally, don't forget to peek under the dust jacket after you've finished the book. You might find something interesting there!

3.0 out of 5 stars Overall Book Rating is 3.5, December 27, 2009
This book contains seven short stories about six different couples.

The first story, Everlasting Love is my least favorite of them all. As another reviewer stated it's about two white collar workers who've known each other since childhood. But the love Youji has for Noboru borders on being overly possesive and stalkerish. Rating is 2.

The second story, Never Give Up Love about a couple of students I found to be a lot more enjoyable and wishing their story had been longer. It also has one of my favorite characters out of the entire book, Takagi who I'd really like to see get his own story. Rating is 3.5.

The third story, My Sweet Home is okay. It begins with a 21 year old Katsuki taking in 8 year old Riku and the romance that blooms 10 years later. Rating is 3.

There's another short regarding this same couple, My Sweet Room which I liked a lot more. Rating is 3.5.

The fourth story, I Found a Twinkling Star about a couple of kindergarten teachers to be my favorite. Both characters are very likable and I easily found myself rooting for the uke, Keita to get his seme, Tomoya. Rating is 4.5.

The fifth story, Naive Love Triangle about three students is pretty good. I found myself liking all three characters, and hoping this mangaka wrote another story for Higashiyama (especially after reading the tease on the back cover). Rating is 4.

The final story, A Town in the Evening may not be anything outstanding, but I still found myself enjoying the small town romance between Yasuhiro and Chisato. Yasuhiro being the much more likable character. Rating is 3.5.

There is no explicit sex and most of the male characters tend to resemble each other.

The overall rating is not taking into account the shoddy publishing job by DMP. There were a few sections where words did not completely print and several pages that were still together (had to cut them apart myself)!
