G.K. Chesterton would be PROUD!,

This review is from: The Everlasting Man (Audio CD)
A Hope for Home (AHFH) has more than just stumbled upon a unique concept; they have created forty-eight solid minutes of head banging, heart pounding content that will challenge you. "Everlasting Man" based off of Christian historian, G.K. Chesterton's novel, begins humbly with an instrumental opening entitled simply, "Covenant" and bursts into an explosion of Nathan Winchell's brilliant guttural scream on "Iniquity: An Offering".Throughout "Everlasting Man" the listener is taken on a series of journeys, through self-exploration, guilt, repentance and forgiveness. Laced with brilliant breakdowns, reminiscent of The Devil Wears Prada and inspiring partnering vocals from guitarist Matt Ellis; AHFH truly has set the stage for one of the most hard hitting hard rock worship and redemption albums to ever hit the scene. Perhaps the most inspiring portion of the album comes in the form of "Absolution: Of Flight and Failure", when the album takes a marked turn in direction, from condemnation to forgiveness. "Absolution" paints a vivid picture, reminiscent of the Greek tale of Icharus and his ascent and demise. The album closes with a heartfelt cry for forgiveness and restoration, and sweetly returns to the instrumentals that opened the album. From start to finish, AHFH has created an album that is captivating and absolutely breathtaking. It is relatable and will inspire the listener to dig deeper in their relationship with God, and recognize their position with him. Truly an album for the ages, G.K. Chesterton would be fond of "The Everlasting Man". (For more artist reviews and music news check out [..] )

Praise is well deserved!,

This re-release was not pointless compared to a lot out there today. They re-mastered, re-mixed, and added 2 new songs to their Strike First Records debut. I've known these guys for a while now personally and musically and I'm very proud of them for what they have accomplished. If you get a chance to see them live, don't miss it because they are easily the best show out there.
