Purchased this to place on staircase as decoration where lighting traditional candles was very difficult. The remote has a separate button for on and off instead of a simple on/off toggle which certainly helps endure you can turn them both on or even if one or both candles receive the signal from the remote; you may not think this is a big deal but I have issues with some ceiling fans that make it tough to get the on/off synchronized so I'm please with the simple design of this remote.

My family enjoys using remote-controlled candles in our wall sconces. The sconces are mounted in areas where it would be difficult to light and blow out a real candle, yet not so inaccessible that we won't be able to change the batteries. These candles look real!

I had a beautiful set of hurricane globes for my fire place but didn't want to put real candles in them and didn't want to fuss with having to take the fake candles in & out of the globes to turn them on! I LOVE THE REMOTE!! They work great!

I like (not love it) these candles. The only thing is each have a different color and
the light inside should be deeper so it won't look so fake.

These candles are great. I purchased several sets in several sizes and am very pleased. One warning is that these are made of real wax. That's a GOOD thing but it also means they can be damaged easily or melt like any wax candle. And if you're a kid at heart like me you're tempted to carve your name in them with your fingernails. :) Unless you look underneath or inside at the artificial flame they're indistinguishable from normal candles. They're even partially "melted" for realism. The remote control is genius and works well. If you have several sets you can use one remote to light them all but may need to click several times for all sets to come on. The off shuts them all off at once. The TV remote also turns them on which is only a slight nuisance if you're afraid of the batteries running out. (And it's great that they use easily available batteries in case they do). Even the fake flames are rubberized which makes them less prone to damage. The one flaw is that they tend to blink rather than flicker from time to time which gives away they're fake. But it's not so much as to be distracting. All in all, bright bargains that I used to illuminate a nativity set but will go in my fireplace year round. I'll try to post a link to a video but if it doesn't show look on Youtube for "Christmas Eve 2012" under the user name of this review. [...]

I was disappointed- if using the remote to start & stop it lighting- when off it drains the batteries- unless you turn the switch off under the candles each time you use. I purchased them to display high up and did not want to have to mess with the switches under the candles when I use them. The purpose of the remote was to not have to jump up to switch the candles.

The remote worked fine for a few weeks but now it is useless. Even after replacing the battery it will not work. Very disappointing.

Eh?! Looks pretty as far as it goes. The BATTERIES suck! What good is having a remote and flameless if you can't keep the switch to the "on" position underneath the candle to use it when you need it...the reason I got them was to put it into my hurricane sconces on my wall and because they're set up pretty high on my wall, I wanted the candles to turn on when I use the remote instead of climbing, digging the candle out of the glass and having to switch the bottom of the candle on/off. You would think if the remote turns to candle off, you wouldn't run down the battery....FAIL! Now they're just pretty to look at in the glass on the wall, forget it being lit..they mind as we'll forget the remote, it's useless!
