5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle solution
Wish I had found these earlier. These are the perfect soluton for all of those cute little Christmas houses and candle holders where you need a tea light. No fear of fire when you forget to blow them out! I am using them in the little houses under the tree, they are kid and dog safe. Everyone should use them!

3.0 out of 5 stars not restaurant quality
These are OK, but definitely not the same quality that I have seen in restaurants. The flickering and color isn't as realistic. And of the first three I tried, one failed (broken switch) and the other two work but are very different brightnesses.

They all had CR2032 batteries pre-inserted, so this adds to the value.

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty good but incosistent color..., April 28, 2008
I bought 48 of these (4 packs of 12) and was a little surprised to find that the color of the "flame" differs greatly even in the same box of 12. Some are very light yellow almost white (which look the most realistic) while others were very orangy (looked faked) but they do flicker very gently like a real candle...definitly need frosted votives holders...I would have bought the fake candles that come with the holders if I had known - now I have to buy separate holders.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ended up returning these..., August 31, 2010

I had high hopes for these because of the overall rating, but in the end I sent them back. Being LEDs I thought these could remain on until they burned out, but they faded out completely over the course of several hours. Since I was using 9 at a time, it became frustrating to have to pick each one up out of its holder and turn it back on, over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flameless Battery Tealights, October 4, 2008
~If you like burning candles, but are afraid of accidentally burning the house down, buy these candles.

~If you hate throwing half burned down candles away, buy these candles.

~If you want to light a path to the bathroom when there's a power outage, buy these candles.

1.0 out of 5 stars Huge Disappointment at big event!, July 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was so excited to have received my order for a very high profile event that I was doing.

Upon setting up the centerpieces (which didn't consist of any florals, only submersible and these battery operated tealights in glassware) I realized that 5 out of 12 were not working. And there was no consistency in the light emitted from them either, so I found that some were brighter than others.

This was an overall bad experience for me and the other vendors I worked alongside also brought it to my attention because of how obvious it was.

I would not recommend anyone to purchase these tealights.

3.0 out of 5 stars Underwhelmed..., January 27, 2011

I bought a pack of 12 of these. My plan is to use them in wax candle holders for a soft, diffuse glow, so I didn't really care if they looked super realistic.

My biggest disappointment is with the quality of the tealights. One of them doesn't even work, and the rest are so flimsy that you can barely even touch your finger to the light part of the candle and it will go out. Tap it again a few times, and maybe it'll come back on. These are not supposed to be touch-activated, and I'm not looking forward to the nuisance of having them go out just by placing them in the candle holders.

The packaging also looks as if it had been opened and taped shut. The pull tabs were still in the lights, so I'm guessing they're still new. Hard to be sure, though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Battery operated tealights, January 11, 2011

I would never purchase these again. Some light high, others light low, some don't light at all. Disappointed in the quality of this purchase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Work, February 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Don't Buy These.

Half of them didn't work right out of the box.

They are not very bright.

It's not a good deal. 6 working lights for $7.50 puts them at over a dollar a piece.

Seriously, don't buy these.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good lights...may want frosted or colored votives, November 29, 2010

Overall, a good set of lights. The price was the biggest selling point for me. Ideally, I wanted a set that you could blow on/off, but these were the next best thing, in that the switches are push on/off, rather than the normal sliding switch.

I purchased these for use in votive holders. The votive holders I have are clear, but I knew when buying these that they would probably look a little silly in clear votives. And indeed, they do up close. From a distance, they really don't look bad. But up close, it's obvious they're not real. Thus, I am now using colored and frosted votives so people cannot see the flameless candles inside. And they are great.

They do tend to be more yellowish, but again, inside a frosted or colored votive, that is not much of an issue at all.

I cannot speak to their longevity, as I have not had them very long. All of the ones in my set worked straight out of the package.
