I have owned one of these for several years and cannot live without it.
I dropped the one I had and am now getting another one; hopefully I will not be so negligent again. This is a fantastic item or I would not be buying another one.

I've used this lamp every night for the last 7 months and I love it. I use it for a reading light in bed and it gives me bright light without illuminating the entire room. If I fall asleep reading...oh well. The lamp recharges the next day. No batteries to mess with and no electricity to pay for. Also great when the power goes off and I take it on long road trips, too. One of the best and most useful items I've bought in the last year.

This is a waste of money unless you live on a desert island with no other light source. The "beam" of light extends about 6 inches. In total darkness you might find your way out of a room, but any additional light dilutes the "beam" to nothing. Note that no dimensions are included in the product description since it fits in an 8"x12" box.

I purchased 21 lamps and took them to villages in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. Of the 21, 4 did not function. However, the remaining ones work very well. We will see how many are left a year from now when we re-visit the villages.

Put plug in the detachable adjustable solar panel place it in some full sun all day and charge it up fully for the brightest light... it's been a real work horseEverlite Compact Solar Charged Portable Light! I've used mine 4 of these extensively for over a year now.

I'm glad I went this route with my headlamp. Not having to buy batteries makes owning this headlamp worth it. Not to mention it performs well.
