It had to not do any permanent damage to the surface it was mounted to (i.e. it needed some kind of suction or sticky interface).

I rarely use my hair dryer in the summer, so this product did not have much 'wear and tear', but I came home to find it had fallen on the floor.

Once this is done, you have to twist the locking mechanism that is located on top by turning with your fingers clockwise until it is very tight.

I bought this product to help organize my bathroom. Previously my hair dryer resided in its box, and I un-packaged and repackaged it every time I wanted to use it. While I wanted my hairdryer to be more accessible, there were a few requirements I needed a hairdryer holder to meet - 1). It had to mounted on a vertical surface (i.e. I didn't want something on the bathroom sink increasing clutter) and 2). It had to not do any permanent damage to the surface it was mounted to (i.e. it needed some kind of suction or sticky interface).
I chose this particular design because the suction cups were screwed down to increase suction power, meaning that this design stuck to a variety of smooth non-glossy surfaces such as cabinetry. It seemed like most products with suction mechanisms were only meant to be stuck to mirrors or tile, but I really wanted my hair dryer to be out-of-the-way and not in-my-face like it would have been if it was stuck on a tile wall or my bathroom mirror.
Out of the box, I cannot say my first impressions of this product were very positive. The suction cups are surrounded by a gel-like material (similar to gel window stickies) that are perfect for a one-time placement, but get dirt very easily. The spiral shaft to hold the hairdryer is very flimsy, and, because hairdryers have most of their weight towards the back (the fan) and in their handle, it doesn't sit well inside the spiral shaft. Just look at the picture of this product. All the weight of your hairdryer is resting on the one point where the crux of the hairdryer handle touches the top of the spiral wire framework.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It is very discreet, easy to install and it works. I applied the 2 Everloc Suction Cups on my front mirror in my bathroom. Again, it is very discreet and the suction cups have a very sticky sticker that you first have to peel-off. Make sure that you first decide on where to put it. Of course, you can remove it and re-apply somewhere else over and over again. However, I have no experience with that since I have not had to remove it.
Once this is done, you have to twist the locking mechanism that is located on top by turning with your fingers clockwise until it is very tight. For the next few days, you may have to twist once in a while the locking mechanism to be certain it is tight. All in all, the initial process takes less than 10 minutes to install with no mess what-so-ever and it feels very tight for my Conair 1875 blow dryer. I have no fear that it will fall off.

Note: It has at the bottom an area for storing the end of your power cord. Not exactly perfect, but it works depending on your hair dryer. It has a 4.5 inches opening for your hair dryer. It wouldn't recommend it if you have a tiny or a traveler's hair dryer because it might be too tiny to fit. I guess it would be more suited for normal to maybe bigger hair dryers.

It says per the manual that you can apply it to non-porous surfaces like glass, tile, fiberglass, steel, Formica, manufactured stone, plastic, sealed wood, enamel painted surfaces, and many others including non-porous textured surfaces.

My personal experience was applying it to glass only. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Looked at lots of holders, this has a great shape, and holds any dryer. The glue came loose and fell off the wall after a few weeks. Use double sided tape to re-attach and now works perfectly

Good looking design. It even worked fine for a couple of weeks and then the suction mechanism failed. Cleaned the bathroom surface and reinstalled it, but it wouldn't hold. Going to garbage. Wasted money.

This is a great product: it's sturdy, doesn't look too bad, isn't badly priced, and serves its purpose. However, every month or two, we'll hear a crash and I'll have to put it back on the wall. I only recommend this product to you if you don't mind having to reapply it to the wall and have a durable hair dryer. (I have painted drywall that I'm attaching it to.) Other than that, this is great.
