I waited through 13 expansions before trying out Everquest, and I have to say that this was 13 expansions too long to wait. The game has to be one of the best I have tried, there is something for everyone. The depth and complexity of the story is there, but not required for gameplay. This allows everyone to play the game the way they want, and not the way they have to.
Probably the best game of all time, and I doubt that anything in the next 50 years will make me change my mind.

The Anniversary Edition will allow new users to join the game with ALL expansions for a significantly lower price than buying the game and expansions separately. Regular players can catch up on missing expansions for less than the cost of one expansion.
There are 11 (eleven) rewards included in the game pack, if you have never played before, and all un-claimed rewards are available to users who have claimed some of them previously. The game itself is fun, and can be played on multiple levels. Some will just want to go out and play for adventure (killing) and loot, while others will join groups and guilds to expand their playing experience, taking on various tasks and quests to achieve ultra-high levels and armor/weapons/augmentations that boost the player to higher achievements. While any age can play, from about 12 on up, parents will want to remember that there is occasional adult language used by other players - although the gamers will also usually shut down someone who continuously uses profanity: Everquest is meant to be a friendly atmosphere, fun for all.Everquest I: The Anniversary Edition

I have been playing Everquest off and on now for 7 years now and I can say, without a moment's hesitation, it is the best one out there. I know that some will argue with this, but as far as a really good online game for adults, you cannot top this one. I've tried DAoC, EQII, WoW, Vanguard and numerous others only to always come back to EQ. Like someone said earlier, the music will take you back several years just like a good tune on the radio will and remind you of something funny that happened in game, or that special event or person. This is an awesome game and unlike others that are full of kids, this game is too advanced and too technical in many respects for kids to even be able to understand. The average age is late 30's - 40's with quite a few older players as well, which I love to see.
The quests are like no others I've ever seen in a game. When a 9 year old can play WoW, I don't feel you can really say you've accomplished much when you get a high level character there; whereas, with EQ, when you hit the highests level, you KNOW you've accomplished a lot and so do all of those around you. Does it have the best interface, no. Does it have the best map system, absolutely not. Are the graphics the best, no to this as well but the game content is way beyond anything I've ever seen before and you submerge yourself into a virtual reality game that will keep you entertained for years to come. And, no, you won't jump off of a building, drop out of school or quit your job unless you were looking for an excuse to in the first place.

I will keep this simple. This is a great and cheap way to update your account toi the most current. This gives you all the 13 expansions that are presently out. A very great buy, was worth every penny.

This is a really old game. Started the whole MMO craze like 8 years ago. BUT this is also the best buy for a videogame you're ever gonna get. Base EQ and 13 expansion packs included in this bad boy all for $20, PLUS you get a free month when you start a new account. So in all honesty you get all the content the game has to offer for 5 dollars for the first month! There's no way to beat that.
If you're like me you've played WoW to death. always kind of wondered what EQ was all about. If you find WoW too easy, definitely try this one out

I have been away from EverQuest for a long time, so long that I have missed 4 expansions! At this price I was able to upgrade both of my accounts and get some (somewhat?) useful in game items as well. EQ was my first and favorite MMORPG. If you are coming back like I did this is the better way to go, IMHO.

this is awesome it upgrades old accounts or gives you a new one... and it gives you all the /claim rewards from all the expansions you didn't buy in stores. so it's well worth the 20 bucks if your missing an expansion or 2

This Anniversary Edition contains all 13 expansions out of 13 so it is totaly complete so you do not need to buy any other expansion for it just install and play Plus the last 2 expansions were dl only and a total of 60 dollars so if you are like me who hate to sit and rot dling a a 6gig+ game(6gigs are need for first 10 expasions) should buy this edition which many be the reason it got back ordered as amazon and possably EQ did not relize the number of copys they sell

This includes all 13 expansions which is completely up to date as of Aug 2007. It also includes 30 free days, either on a new account, or an old account that has "expired". I do not believe it will extend an account that is currently being paid for (active). Just put in the single code, and it will trigger all 13 expansions for your account.
The original Everqest is without a doubt the biggest MMORPG in existance. And running as long as it has, with 13 exapansions, it has the most depth, and things to do. The only drawback I'm seeing is the population has thinned in the last couple years, and perhaps a server merge would be nice at this point. If you've been away from EQ and are thinking to try it again, you can't go wrong with this deal. 30 days free on your old (or new) account and get all the expansions you missed for about $18.
