As a long time gamer, especially of old-school D&D, my favorite part of this book is the extensive rules for crafting magic items without being a magician. Clearly these rules are imported from the MMO EverCrack, but they work beautifully in a pen-and-paper RPG. The idea that an Expert or even a Fighter, could learn enough Craft skills to combine electrum and jade to get a necklace that grants magical benefits is simply delightful. The sections on factions is amazing, and makes great fodder for any GM looking for help or ideas on how to really flesh out a campaign world and make it feel like a World and not just a series of dungeon crawls.
