5.0 out of 5 stars Power Up!, April 20, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Everquest - Planes of Power Expansion (CD-ROM)
EQ Planes of Power is a great expansion for all EQ Veterans, and an expansion you will want to add if you are new to EQ as well.

Many people refer to Everquest as "EverCrack" because it really is highly addictive. I am a 40 year old woman who has been playing EQ for 6 years! I have been a game reviewer for several national publications and so I have played MANY games; Everquest is, in my opinion, the best, most playable, and most enjoyable online MMRPG ever.

These expansions are one thing that keeps the game from getting stale. POP, and other expansions add new trade skill recipies, new features, new spells, new zones to explore, new monsters to kill, and a nearly limitless selection of things to do.

I personally think that Everquest is suitable for children, so long as the child can read. Yes, there is violence, and consumption of alcohol in game (not real alcohol silly), and the fact that your children are playing with many people all over the world can add a safety element that parents should consider. However, comunication is the key. Make sure you discuss with your children the dangers of any on-line environment, but let them play. The reading level of kids who play EQ can only improve, spelling skills, punctuation all these things are important to the success of a player. From an educational standpoint EQ has value as well. So parents, get online with your kids and play! Have fun, make it a family thing, you will all enjoy it.
