5.0 out of 5 stars Sinister Tech
Tech N9NE is one of THE most underapprieciated and misunderstood rappers alive in hip hop today. It is pathetic that some of the major labels do not take a chance and give a QUALITY artist like Tech the promotion and paycheck he deserves. The hip hop game at this point is about cars, jewlery, women and snapping fingers. Tech has always decided to take a different route...

3.0 out of 5 stars And then theres...Everready?
I own a couple of Tech N9NE's previous albums but compared to those this album doesn't quite cut it. Tech N9NE is probaly one of the most lyrically strongest emcees out there. I feel like this album shows that he's falling out of the image of his hardcore style and into mainstream club songs. He only has a couple songs on hear that I feel are worth a replay. The second cd...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sinister Tech, November 12, 2006

Tech N9NE is one of THE most underapprieciated and misunderstood rappers alive in hip hop today. It is pathetic that some of the major labels do not take a chance and give a QUALITY artist like Tech the promotion and paycheck he deserves. The hip hop game at this point is about cars, jewlery, women and snapping fingers. Tech has always decided to take a different route and maybe this is why no major labels have come calling. If I was working at Def Jam or Aftermath I would have signed this man a long time ago. I can imagine him spitting something over a dark Dr. Dre beat or Mannie Fresh party track, it would be one of the biggest buzzes the hip hop world has never had a chance to see. I have purchased numerous major releases this year and find myself disappointed with the product. Of course this album is not perfect and it has a few filler tracks just like many of the other rap releases this year; but Tech has a much different style than anyone else, and that's why you can listen to him for a whole cd. In his case he does not have the luxury of superproducers, so he gets producers to cater to his style which is very dark, and complex. On Everready Tech takes us through the first part of the album which is more of a party feel, the second part sounds a little more like Anghellic which was my favorite album from him. This album has a lot of heavy production and you can still feel Techs hunger throughout. Some of the hooks could be polished a little more but overall I was not disappointed with this latest entry. You shouldn't be disappointed either. Pick it up with the bonus disk, it has three more tech records and more from the strange music click. Kutt Calhoun sounds like he may be next in line.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm part of the religion!, December 15, 2006
By
This review is from: Everready: The Religion (Audio CD)
After hearing Tech was coming out with a new cd, i was thrilled. And i'm glad that i got this cd. Every song on this cd was awesome. The three hardest songs on the cd to me were "Come Gangsta", "Caribou Lou", and "Running Out Of Time". I have to say, having just about every other Tech CD, I think this one was his best effort, Tech is one of the realest in the game and it's a shame that he doesn't get the respect he deserves because of his appearance, because he is an individual.

If you like this CD, you'd prolly also like a few of his old ones, "Anghellic" and "Absolute Power"

Don't Hesitate to buy this CD! you won't regret your purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superior Talent ... Superior Album, November 25, 2006

4.5 Stars

Tech N9ne - one of my all time favorites in the game. I hold this musical genius (not just hip-hop) on the same plateau as other greats in the realm of rap; like Kool Keith, RA Rugged Man, MF Doom - just to name a few. The bottom line is this: Tech N9ne's Everready: The Religion is a superior album when compared to the circulating garbage that remains. The same can be said for the majority of Tech's previous releases.

I own all of Tech's albums, but let us focus on Tech's more "commercial" releases (Anghellic, Absolute Power and Everready: The Religion). I'll be honest, despite my overwhelming knowledge of the industry, Anghellic was the first entire album I heard or owned from Tech N9ne. Immediately I fell in love with his marvelous flow accompanied by his dark sinister style with a dash of good will within his heart. That was what Anghellic was all about. Then came along Absolute Power, which was more of a frustration work of art. Not quite as well orgainzed and produced as Anghellic, but a damn fine album nonetheless. Now, Tech has blessed the rap world with Everready: The Religion.

Everready: The Religion, is not only my personal favorite Tech album, it's also his most profound. Profound because it displays Tech's vast ability to "cross-over" into multiple genres. His talent is almost endless. I've never witnessed such an artist with so much talent, that gets so little renown. Blessed with enough "skills" to dethrone all the raps greats you worship today (Jay Z, Nas, Eminem, etc.). Everready: The Religion is a nonstop ride of pure ecstasy. Perhaps one or two tracks devalue the final product, however the release overall is one of hip-hop's best albums in recent years.

Welcome to the Midwest, Riot Maker, No Can Do, Bout Ta' Bubble, My World and The Rain. These are the album's highlights. That's not to say the remainder is fruitless, because nothing on this album is, period. If you own Tech's previous albums, you'll love Everready: The Religion. If you're just a casual rap fan, or a music guru in general, do yourself a huge favor, and buy Everready: The Religion. One of life's great mysteries is simply enough, the fact Tech N9ne isn't as big as a 2Pac, Biggie, Jay Z or Eminem. In a day and age where great hip-hop music is as rare as platinum, Everready: The Religion is like an oasis in the desert.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, November 14, 2006
This review is from: Everready: The Religion (Audio CD)
I've been a Tech fan for a while now and he takes his music to a new level on this album. It has a good mix of introspective songs and tracks that you can party to. Like all Tech albums you are listening to a true lyrical genius. ret it. One of the things that seperates this album from his previous ones is that to me, it seems that he mixes more genres of music into his songs, and as someone that appreciates all types of music, this is makes it so I can listen to it no matter what mood I'm in. If you are new to Tech start with this album and you will be addicted. You will never hear another artist do what Tech does. This album is worth ever cent. Like all Tech albums you are listening to a true lyrical genius. Pick it up, you won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tech breaks through!, December 3, 2006

This cd cements what fans of Strange Music and Tech have known for a long time. He is a lyrical mastermind. He has gone through a few changed in his career, but the man is still a monster when it comes to ripping up the mic.

Will it get respect from the MTV generation? Probably not, but people need to realize there is a lot more to rap than the new Jay Z, Ying Yang Twins, Snoop. All three are great cd's as well, but do not sleep on this CD or the future Strange releases...

Every track bangs, but some more than others...

Riot Maker
Bout to Bubble
Night And Day
Jellysickle
My Wife, My B*tch, My Girl,
Rain(featuring his children)
Come Gangsta...

All of them are the best, and the others are great to listen to as well...

Another great album from Kansas City, Missouri's own Tech N9ne. If you like the previously released albums you will definitely like this one which shows the advancement of Tech's growth as a musician.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tech N9ne gets a perfect score., November 17, 2006
This review is from: Everready: The Religion (Audio CD)
Being an older rap listener, I'm highly displeased with today's rap artists. There are a few artists that have had a few gems lately. I'm an old schooler, it's all the same crap now days. NOT WITH THIS CD!

I've heard just about if not all of Tech's music. Every song on this CD is straight up bangin. I bought a signed copy online. I highly suggest this CD for anyone that is a music lover. The most versatile and creative rap CD I've ever heard. Every song on it is amazing, no fillers on this one. Been a loooooong time since I've bought a CD. I've been so sick with mainstream bull that's out now. This CD has saved my opinion on new rap music for me.
