Found Them Again,
By As one who tends to forget and neglect the lettuce and celery, they really do seem to keep them edible far longer. I wonder how they'd do for chips and crackers?? Also, I didn't know you were supposed to use clothespins or other clip device. Evidently the ties can put small holes in the bag.

This review is from: Evert-Fresh Green Bags Large - Preserve your fruits and vegetables
I love avocados and when at Cost Co. usually buy the net sack with 7-8 avocados. Problem was, a few would always rot before we could eat them all. Not anymore. I put them in the Green Bag and take them out one at a time to ripen. The ones in the bag remained unripe.
I have used the bags for lettuce, spinach, green onions, tomatoes and carrots. Without exception, all stayed fresh MUCH longer. Be sure everything going in the bags is DRY. If you see droplets form, dry the bag. It sometimes helps to put a paper towel in the bag to absorb the moisture. Bottom line tho, they do work.
