5.0 out of 5 stars Found Them Again
I love these things. Can't find them at the health food store anymore so I'm glad to see them here.

As one who tends to forget and neglect the lettuce and celery, they really do seem to keep them edible far longer.

I wonder how they'd do for chips and crackers??

Also, I didn't know you were supposed to use clothespins or other clip...

1.0 out of 5 stars No better than a regular plastic bag!!
I did everything that the directions on the product suggested and there was no improvement in the length of time they stayed fresh! I even bought the green plastic discs which are supposed to stay in the vegetable bin but there still was no difference. I feel like I got ripped off!

4.0 out of 5 stars They Work, May 7, 2008
This review is from: Evert-Fresh Green Bags Large - Preserve your fruits and vegetables
I love avocados and when at Cost Co. usually buy the net sack with 7-8 avocados. Problem was, a few would always rot before we could eat them all. Not anymore. I put them in the Green Bag and take them out one at a time to ripen. The ones in the bag remained unripe.

I have used the bags for lettuce, spinach, green onions, tomatoes and carrots. Without exception, all stayed fresh MUCH longer. Be sure everything going in the bags is DRY. If you see droplets form, dry the bag. It sometimes helps to put a paper towel in the bag to absorb the moisture.

Bottom line tho, they do work.

4.0 out of 5 stars They work for me, February 17, 2008

I've heard a number of reasons to NOT use these, but some of us aren't so diligent as to wash, dry or sort our produce immediately after purchase. For MY needs and lifestyle, these work well on refrigerated lettuce, fruits, mushrooms, assorted veggies and even bananas (countertop). Don't use them on tomatoes as I don't refrigerate them and eat them just too fast. I see about a week's worth of extension on my produce's lifespan.
