Our kitten who was 10 months old recently died of an untreatable disease. I have two children (ages 6 and 10) so I was looking for a book to help them. Well this book also helped me. WOW! This book describes how every kitty has a guardian angel and the guardian angel helps it find it's "forever person". But, the day comes when kitty is at the end of their earthly life and then it becomes a "forever cat" and rejoins it's angel. The part I liked most was how the book describes how your "forever cat" wants you to be happy even if it means bringing a new kitty into your life. And the "forever cat" will be happy because you still have so much love to share. This helped because my children were afraid to get another kitty because it might make our "angel kitty" mad. It goes on to describe how the angel takes care of it until the day comes when the "forever person" and "forever cat" meet again across the angel bridge. I know the review says for 6-8 year olds but I think every adult pet owner will find comfort in this book. Blessings be with you!!

My beloved cat, Jaggie, was put to sleep 4 days ago, and I cannot tell you the pain and sorrow it leaves me with. This book was reccommended to me by a veterinarian that I work with, and the day Jaggie was put to sleep, I went out and bought 2 copies, and just ordered 2 more for people who helped me throught he process. I am an animal oncology technician, and give chemotherapy to animals with cancer, and I always know that each of my patients may not have as long to live as the average animal. This book will come in handy to give to my patients' owners when the time comes to make that decision, and it will help them not feel as much guilt making that decision. This book has beautiful drawings, and a beautiful text which will make you feel wonderful about the life you gave your "forever friend".

After losing my 1 year old cat to FIP, I was having a very difficult time dealing with my grief. My veterinarian gave me this book, and although reading it brought even more tears, it's eloquence in describing the eternal bond between a person and their "forever cat" really does aid in the healing process. It's a simple story, one that is familiar to every cat owner, yet you'll find yourself reading it over and over, and each time you close it you'll feel a little bit better than you did before. Highly recommended for those grieving a feline friend.

I firmly believe that not only cats and dogs, but people, have an angel watching over their shoulder. No one ever promised us that life would be easy or forever happy and free from pain, disease, heartbreak and loss. Those aspects make up our life, but somewhere deep inside we must find the strength and courage to go on. The universe in its mysterious way is telling us that there is something better in store for us, a light at the end of the tunnel not yet seen.

This book is an inspiration for everyone. Just like the feline kingdom, we will travel many roads and overcome many obstacles before we find a place where we feel we truly belong. It is often said that when someone we love dies and move on, they will watch over us from a world beyond ours. It is that same Guardian Angel who will guide us through the times when we feel we cannot go on, and show us that life with all its unexpected twists and turns can still be beautiful.

I highly recommend this poignant, touching and inspiring book. It is highly deserving of far more than five stars.

I bought this book after losing my best friend of 15 years, Munchkin.
After reading this book, it helped me feel that my Munchkin is still with me in spirit and that someday I will meet up with her again. During these grief-filled days, something so simplistic brought me So much comfort. I read it over and over again. I recommend this book to anyone who has lost a dear feline friend, it will comfort you and held solidify your belief that the kitty you lost is really not gone, for she is forever in your heart and truly your forever friend.

This book was given to me by a friend who knew it would be soon I would be saying good bye to my pal Snaggle Putty of 20 years. That was Christmas eve. Two days after Christmas - it was time. This book helped me through a painful loss. It puts a unique perspective on the ineviable. I highly recommend for all animal lovers.

This little book is much like the Rainbow Bridge poem, such a sweet touching childlike story that tells the special bond between human and cat. The pictures are cute and it really gave me comfort after the loss of my beloved Kitty Thumpy. I love it so much I will buy it for all my friends. They have a "For Every Dog an Angel" also that is just as lovely. I also recommend the book "Do Dogs Go to Heaven?" By M. Jean Holmes, if your looking for more Bible based factual book..

I bought it more than a year ago after the passing of my beloved kitty/soul-mate Princess. It is such a sweet comforting book -- like Princess, this book is small but brimming over with Love.

It's been more than a year since Miss P left me, but whenever I look thru this book I still get tears in my eyes!

I had originally read "For Every Dog an Angel" and saw that it came in an equally loving Cat version, so when my brother's cat of 18 years crossed over, I just had to send his family this story as a consolation book...just perfect.

This is a lovely little picture book and I imagine would be wonderful for Children who have lost a beloved animal companion! I purchased this along with Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates & Animals & the Afterlife (my absolute favourite), and I found that the 3 combined helped me through the worst times of my grief and loss. This book now lives on my bedside table, and wheneve I feel a bit lost without my beautiful cat Tyson I read it and it makes me smile.
