Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

If you’re not praying for your childrenÖwho is? Inspiring stories and first-hand experiences shared by moms who prayed—and saw God answer.

Fern Nichols founded Moms In Touch International out of her desire to pray, with other moms, for their children and their schools. Through years of praying with moms, Fern has witnessed God’s amazing power demonstrated through the salvation of many children, teachers and staff, prodigals returning home, broken marriages healed, and answers to desperate situations. Prayer replaces worry with deep peace and contentment as we send our children into the world. But more important, prayer leads us to ever-increasing closeness with God.

This book will guide and encourage you to pray using four simple prayers:

• Praise—acknowledging God’s attributes
• Confession—removing the rubble of sin from our hearts
• Thanksgiving—expressing gratitude
• Intercession—standing in the gap for others

Every Child Needs a Praying Mom will bring great hope to every mother’s heart. Learn how God cares for your children, and how he can use the power of prayer to renew your heart, your energy, and your strength to meet every situation.

This book will teach you how to pray effectively with others, how to prepare for the spiritual battles, how to persist no matter what, and how to pray with confidence using Scripture.

Amazing things can happen when you pray for your kids and this book proves that with so many interesting stories from Moms in Touch prayer groups all over the country. Nichols encourages readers to use the 4 steps of prayer, how to prepare for spiritual battles your child may be facing and how to use the Bible to pray. Practical and inspiring. If I'm not praying for my kids, then who is?

5.0 out of 5 stars ENCOURAGING w/ETERNAL IMPACT, September 12, 2006
If you are looking to be inspired in your life of prayer, and in the importance of prayer for your family, you will be blessed by reading this book.
About 8 years ago I myself experienced the power to Moms praying as we gathered each week with other Moms to pray for our children and husbands! WOW! The prayer group I am in now is different, but this book brought back so many fond memories of God's power and faithfulness seen week by week specifically in our families and for our children. Praying with all the other Moms was probably one of the greatest impacts on my Christianity and prayer life. As we pray, God reveals to our chilren, ourselves and those watching HIS DIVInE CHARACTER, POWER & LOVE!
And, I am praising the LORD, that as Fern says in this book, God is STILL ANSWERING OUR PRAYERS, even after all these years!
We may see some results right away, but when we don't it's very helpful to have a group to help you persevere, and IMPERATIVE to learn to PRAY GOD'S WILL THROUGH PRAYING SCRIPTURE, receiving the LORD's STRENGTH TO STAND FIRM & PERSEVER NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES TO RECIEVE THAT FOR WHICH GOD HAS PROMPTED US TO ASK!
In this book she does a beautiful job of encouraging with Scripture and true stories, as well as defining our roles and the importance AND NECESSITY OF PRAYER! We are to make an eternal impact on our children-and this must be fueled in prayer.
In speaking of the influence that her Mom had on her, surely shows that PRAYER DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE! God wants to bless our children, but we must invite Him into their lives and circumstances, until they can do so. Even then, it is God's highest and holiest calling as a Mom to pray for our children, inviting His Power and Provision into their hearts! There are times, we as parents will all need encouragement in our lives of prayer, refocusing not on the circumstances, but on our ALMIGHTY & POWERFUL GOD-this will bring you such encouragement!
You will be blessed to read this, and EVEN MORE BLESSED TO DO WHAT SHE WRITES ABOUT!
