a little too true to life
Jeff Brown's "Every Girl Is the End of the World For Me" is not for everyone. The drawing style takes a little getting used to (their heads are so big!). If you're not in the mood to read about a twenty or thirty something musing, whining, and floundering around about sex and relationships, I'd avoid it. This book was the end of my $8...
I was disappointed in this book to say the least. The author seemed like a really nice and witty guy on the Around Comics podcast. This may not have been one of his best books, but i won't find out. The story was bland and nothing happened outside of a lot of coughing by the main character....ok, i get it, he's sick. I wish i had gone ahead and spent the $8 on shipping...

Jeff Brown's "Every Girl Is the End of the World For Me" is not for everyone. The drawing style takes a little getting used to (their heads are so big!). If you're not in the mood to read about a twenty or thirty something musing, whining, and floundering around about sex and relationships, I'd avoid it. For those that can stomach it (or relate), it's probably one of the best observed, true to life stories about romantic indecision out there.

This was the first time I experienced Jeffrey Brown, and I am hooked! The illustration is adorable, yet each emotional nuance is captured almost perfectly. Brown truly reveals humor in the foibles of hetero relationships.
