If Only Columbia Records Gave Them Respect...,
By Chris Budzban (Luxemburg, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Every Given Moment (Audio CD)
You know, this band could really kick off if their record company, Columbia, would dish out the cash for them to be a huge star. I've seen them live 2 times, and have even met the lead vocalist Erik at a show here in Wisconsin. Awesome band, I loved their first CD, Perfect Self, and this CD did not dissapoint me one bit. They released "Breathing" as a single, and I think that there are plenty of other songs on the album that are much better. Songs like "Show Me", "Anything But Jesus", "Control Freak", and "Searching" are all kick ass and should be recognized by the listeners. This band has to be the best of the unknown rock bands out there on the scene today without a doubt. Killer.

Disappointing My Ass...,
By "lamochilax23" (La Mirada, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Every Given Moment (Audio CD)
Stereomud is the most underrated rock band ever. Their first cd was awesome and had a great grunge feel to it. With their 2nd cd they get a little more modernized and branch out w/ their lyrics. This cd is by no means a disappointing cd. 4.5/51. Show Me- 5/5: An awesome opener for the cd, crunchy guitars and Eric's emotional voice. 2. Anything But Jesus-4.5/5: Another well-crafted rock song. Really strong lyrics. 3. Breathing-5/5: I bought this cd after hearing this song, amazing single. Stereomud keeps it coming in heavy doses w/ this one. 4. Define This-4/5: A decent rocking track. The chorus is a bit slower paced than the verses, doesnt make it bad. Nice guitars though. 5. Control Freak-4.5/5: A really catchy and groovy song. The lyrics are good, Stereomud can write really great songs with breaks and build-ups. Theyre very underrated. 6. Drop Down- 5/5: The most aggressive track on the album. Awesome heavy cruching guitars with chugging bass following. Great singing. 7. Coming Home-4.5/5: A lot people dont like this song becuz it was written for his kids, but so was "Dont Be Afraid" from the 1st cd. A great song, whats cool about it is that the music doesnt let up. 8. Fallen-4/5:Another good song, doesnt stand out as much, but its nice. Swirling chorus and kinda creepyish backing vocals. Really nice though. 9. Yesterday-4.5/5: Stereomud continues with this good rock song. Its about the things that they learned from being together for so long. Its a good song, and people need to give it a chance. 10. My Addiction-4.5/5: A more atmospheric song which turns into a rocking song. Great musicanship, trademark vocals, everything about this band is great, really catchy. 11. Searching-5/5: I really enjoyed this song, Eric's vocal range is nice on this one. Once again awesome guitars and bass. Everything is good. Every Given Moment is a cool cd. I was really looking forward to its release, and I wasnt disappointed. Give it a chance if you want some good rock music.

I saw Stereomud last night in Phoenix and I have to tell you, they frickin' owned that joint. The songs they played off of Every Given Moment were awesome to say the least. This is a must get cd people, don't miss out on this great band. Buy them both...Perfect Self AND Every Given Moment. Buy a set for your mother too.
