3.0 out of 5 stars What's next ?
Veronica was born in Macon, Georgia, 43 years ago. Artistically known as Randy Crawford, she is not a beginner. And her voice is not the voice we enjoyed on albums like "secret combination", "windsong", and in collaborations with artists such as Al Jarreau (on a rare album called Harbour lights). Something seems to have gone wrong, especially live...

every kind of mood one can go through, whether dealing with love, happiness, determination, etc. I love this album. This is Randy's best album, and my favorite. Every song touches me in some way, and if an album was identified as the soundtrack for my life, this is it. The bouncieness of "Are You Sure," the determination to go on expressed in "Unwounded," getting in touch with your oneness expressed in "Silence." The album is tough! And Randy's vocals, so understated, yet so emotional. Anybody wanting to get to know Randy, needs to pick up this album as the starter. Then proceed from there to other albums by this magnificent vocalist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every kind of Mood: Randy, Randi, Randee, September 21, 2001

I love just about all of Randy Crawford's music, but this one has something special. For starters, the Captain of her heart is one of my favorites as well as I'd be an angel. The album is great to listen to while talking with a date or having dinner. The music is smooth and relaxing, the vocals are awesome. It is great to just listen and groove to. I'm sure if you try it you will love it. She has one of the best voices in the industry.

This CD is perhaps the best CD I've purchased in along time. It's also my favourite Randy Crawford CD. Her smooth voice, the elegantly produced music.... its a match made in heaven. From disco, to r&b to Adult Contemporary to light jazz!

4.0 out of 5 stars Best since "Windsong", January 11, 2001

I'm listening to the album right now and it's the best and most satisfying Randy Crawford album since "Windsong" (a definite 5-star album, by comparison). This album is VERY accurately described in the title and has an all-at-once mellow, pleasant and sophisticated vibe (exception is very uptempo "Wishing On A Star", a nicely done remake in all senses of the word). This album will evoke, for the listener, many moods, also. Kick back & ENJOY & take this one in.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like good music....., April 11, 2000

This is one of the best CDs I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. No two songs sound alike. Her easy style is a refreshing change to the cookie-cutter music being performed today by many similar sounding groups.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mood Music, October 8, 2007

In the alternative ending to *The Road Warrior* Randy Crawford sings a duet with the Great Humungus. That's a fabrication actually. But what is real is that this CD is solid!Just about every song is good or great. It is exceptional to find an album that grooves from beginning to end. One you can put on and when it stops you go - aw, man. And start it over again. Some may say - oh this Randy album is better - so what, this is this and that's all it is - and that's a good thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful voice, August 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Every Kind of Mood (Audio CD)
Randy Crawford would have to be one of my favourite female singers - if no the favourite. I first heard her music after I picked up one of her albums on holidays in Finland and the album quickly became my änthem" album for the entire holiday. Whenever I hear her beautiful voice, it reminds me of the good times I've had and it always calms me down after a hard day at work.

This album is one of my favourites. Ï'd be an angel" is my favourite on the album. I could listen to it forever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Randy Crawford touches all the bases, March 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Every Kind of Mood (Audio CD)
I first time I heard Randy Crawford was on one of the Crusader albums and I was immediately hooked. The title of her CD Every kind of Mood tells it all. While some of the tracks immediately connected with me others took a time or two before they got me. What I enjoyed the most was the variety of moods each one evoked.

I had not heard Crawford before I put this CD on but I was totally blown away with both the selections (I'D BE AN ANGEL and ARE YOU SURE? are now favorites!)and her ability to communicate with me. Soon I was calling family and friends in and sharing this marvelous find!

Something seems to have gone wrong, especially live. Having said this, it is her best in this past decade. Catchy tracks ("Bye bye"), a couple of cover versions ("wishing on a star", formerly from Rose Royce, and "Captain of her heart" from the Swiss group Double), and a track that people enjoyed when it was released ("Are you sure ?"), plus other songs which are quite correct. Not the album of the year, but certainly an improvement compared, as said before, to what she had done lately. Can she confirm with the next album ?
