About the Author

Stephen Arterburn is coauthor of the best-selling Every Man series. He is founder and chairman of New Life Clinics, the host of New Life Live!, a national radio program, and the creator of Women of Faith Conferences. Arterburn is a nationally known speaker and the author of more than forty books.

Fred Stoeker is coauthor of the best-selling Every Man series. He is founder and chairman of Living True Ministries, a lay minister, conference speaker, and a highly regarded counselor who has helped hundreds of men and married couples. Fred and his wife, Brenda, have four children.

Mike Yorkey is the author, coauthor, or general editor of several books for men, including Daddy’s Home, The Christian Dad Answer Book and all the books in the Every Man series. He and his wife, Nicole, have two college-age children.

Stephen Arterburn is the founder and chairman of New Life Ministries--the nation's largest faith-based broadcast, counseling, and treatment ministry--and is the host of the nationally syndicated "New Life Live!" daily radio program heard on over 180 radio stations nationwide. Steve is also the founder of the Women of Faith conferences, attended by over 3 million women.

Having had this book for some time now, I'd usually read a chapter a day, and other times, a few chapters. That's how it's set up, but the authors provide a great deal to think about, and if you read the whole book in one sitting or two, the reader might miss some important points.

As it is, Arterburn and company has delivered what I'd considered a potentially explosive encourager to a man's walk with Christ. With many chapters dealing with intimacy, marriage, our walk with Christ, and temptation in its many forms, the questions at the end of each chapter are designed to provoke more than thought. More like action!!

It's a fine book and highly recommended!!!

I enjoyed this book. It has thought provoking questions at the end of the chapters that will test your mettle. The real question isn't how far you are willing to go; it is how real you are willing to be. If you are willing to be brutally honest this book will definitely challenge you. This is especially true if you are married as I found several of the chapters geared towards married men. It is still an excellent read, even for a single guy.

I've read the "Every Woman's Battle" and that was an excellent book. I purchased this book for someone and believe that it is equally excellent based on the contents of the book.
