Just wonderful to be transported to another country, another time. The village itself comes alive as do the village folk. The author makes the mental visual so real one seems to only turn around to 'view' the entire scene / chapter at hand. A simply wonderful story as well as the complete series of books by this author. An absolutely wonderful 'read'. Extremely satisfying.
