Book Description

Signet Eclipse March 4, 2008
On her thirtieth birthday, Annalise Blakely gets a strange package. Inside, along with one of her company's hand-crafted dolls, is a note: I don't need this anymore. I have my own. Annalise puts the package aside-she has enough on her mind. Since her mother died, Annalise has been working nonstop to keep Blakely Dolls a success. Her deadbeat dad wants to be back in the picture. And she's dating again.

But the policeman she's seeing has chilling news: someone is murdering women, dressing them up as Blakely Dolls, and leaving them for the police to find. And, although no one knows it yet, the killer is stalking Annalise, the model for the original doll, for his final display...

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

This taut, fast-paced romantic thriller from Cassidy (Are You Afraid? etc.) opens on doll maker Annalise Blakely desperately trying to keep her mother's business afloat while her best friend, Danika, tries to hook her up with her sexy homicide cop neighbor, Tyler King. Annalise and Tyler do hit it off immediately, but their budding relationship is marred by a killer who strangles women and dresses them up to look like the dolls Annalise designs—making her a prime suspect. Annalise tries to keep her new relationship afloat while rekindling connections to estranged family. Meanwhile, the killer looms and threatens to make her his next doll. Annalise and Tyler have good chemistry, and their romance shines. The doll thing wears thin pretty fast, however, and the killer is a stereotypical nut. (Mar.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't do a thing for me!, March 31, 2008
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was the first time reading a Carla Cassidy book and I'm afraid it will be my last. Annalise Blakely has continued her mother's legacy of making Blakely dolls. She begins to find dolls on her doorstep that match an ongoing murder investigation of women being found dead dressed exactly as her dolls. Sounds exciting? It wasn't. I didn't like Annalise for one thing. She was weighed down in the mar of a father who left her early in life and had little contact with her. The relationship of a half brother was dragged in, and frankly bogged the story down. I didn't find the serial killer remotely intriguing and the story overall was not that exciting. I have read far better romantic suspense than this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was a pretty good romantic suspense, September 29, 2008
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Overall this book was pretty good. The part that I really had trouble with was the dialog between the main characters. For the most part it kind of felt akward. There was not really any banter between the two of them and the only conflict that they ever had was over in the same page. I guess the relationship was a little too easy for me. There was no build up to the first love scene and it just did not do much for me. That being said, it was a pretty good romantic suspense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Move You Make, May 7, 2008
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Annalise Blakely is a successful dollmaker, who learned her trade from her mother. She finally seems to be getting her life in order, building a relationship with the half-brother she never knew, trying to repair the bond between her and the father who walked out on her. On top of that she's met a man that she can't stop thinking about. Police detective Tyler King is just as enthralled by Annalise. So when it becomes obvious that the serial killer he has been hunting is obsessed by Annalise, and that the dolls she produces are part of his fantasy, Tyler is determined that he won't lose Annalise. But can he truly protect her from a madman?

From the first page to the last Every Move You Make is just the book for lovers of romantic suspense. Carla Cassidy has created a story where romance and suspense mix for a sexy, thrilling ride that keeps you super-glued to the pages. Carla Cassidy's books keep getting better and better and I highly recommend Every Move You Make!
