3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't do a thing for me!
This was the first time reading a Carla Cassidy book and I'm afraid it will be my last. Annalise Blakely has continued her mother's legacy of making Blakely dolls. She begins to find dolls on her doorstep that match an ongoing murder investigation of women being found dead dressed exactly as her dolls. Sounds exciting? It wasn't. She begins to find dolls on her doorstep that match an ongoing murder investigation of women being found dead dressed exactly as her dolls. Sounds exciting? It wasn't. I didn't like Annalise for one thing. She was weighed down in the mar of a father who left her early in life and had little contact with her. The relationship of a half brother was dragged in, and frankly bogged the story down. I didn't find the serial killer remotely intriguing and the story overall was not that exciting. I have read far better romantic suspense than this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was a pretty good romantic suspense, September 29, 2008
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Overall this book was pretty good. The part that I really had trouble with was the dialog between the main characters. For the most part it kind of felt akward. There was not really any banter between the two of them and the only conflict that they ever had was over in the same page. I guess the relationship was a little too easy for me. There was no build up to the first love scene and it just did not do much for me. That being said, it was a pretty good romantic suspense.

On top of that she's met a man that she can't stop thinking about. Police detective Tyler King is just as enthralled by Annalise. So when it becomes obvious that the serial killer he has been hunting is obsessed by Annalise, and that the dolls she produces are part of his fantasy, Tyler is determined that he won't lose Annalise. But can he truly protect her from a madman?

From the first page to the last Every Move You Make is just the book for lovers of romantic suspense. Carla Cassidy has created a story where romance and suspense mix for a sexy, thrilling ride that keeps you super-glued to the pages. Carla Cassidy's books keep getting better and better and I highly recommend Every Move You Make!

5.0 out of 5 stars A note from the author, March 6, 2008
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Hi,
Just wanted to pop in and answer the question. Yes, this is a brand new book. The hero in this book was a secondary character in Paint It Red, my last book.

Hope you enjoy, and even though it was tacky of me, I couldn't resist giving myself a five star rating. <G>

5.0 out of 5 stars Page Turner, July 8, 2008

This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Very Very good read - I loved the plot and had no idea who the villian was until he was presented at the end. I thought whomever it was had Mommy issues and Ms. Cassidy presented a lot of characters such as that! I stayed up finishing this book, it's a page turner. The herione and the detective dating was a great twist, I kept waiting for the peices to come together. Carla Cassidy has set the bar and surpasses it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chilling suspense, June 6, 2008
By
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Doll maker Annalise Blakely starts receiving copies of her hand crafted dolls from an anonymous person, taunting her with the tagline that he longer needs the doll, as he's making his own. Figuring that there's a new competitor in town, she has no idea that a grisly serial killer is out to make the ultimate doll, with Annalise herself targeted as his ultimate final creation. As she enters the dating pool with Tyler, a sexy homicide detective who is working a serial case where the assailant murders then dresses his victims in elaborate costumes, unaware that his new lover is the key to his investigation.

Cassidy deftly combines the romance between Annalise and Tyler with her reconciliation with the father who abandoned her as a child and the introduction to his new family, making it more than just a romance novel. It's an intriguing story with an ingenious plot, and the story is a thrill-filled suspense to the last page.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read!, April 22, 2008

Love to read (The Berkshires, U.S.A) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
I always enjoy Carla Cassidy's books, this one was very enjoyable but went by so fast. The author kept me guessing who the killer might be, I changed my mind more than once. The storyline was very interesting, Annalise Blakely is a dollmaker trying to continue her mothers dream by keeping the Dollhouse (her business) going, even though it isn't her dream. A serial killer is abducting women, killing them and then creates them into lifesize dolls like Annalise Blakely dolls! It keeps you very interested with some romance and family problems thrown in the mix. I enjoyed it and passed it on to my daughter who is also enjoying it. My only complaint would be that it could be longer, this authors books are always short, I like a nice long story...but of course only if it keeps my interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Romantic Suspense I Have Read Recently., March 9, 2008
By
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
Great book! One of the most enjoyable romantic suspense stories that I've read in a while. The storyline was excellent and I especially enjoyed the developing romance between Annalise and Tyler. I read this book in less than a day. I can't wait to read Ms. Cassidy's next book Broken Pieces in September

4.0 out of 5 stars enjoyable serial killer romance, March 6, 2008
This review is from: Every Move You Make (Signet Eclipse) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Kansas City, Annalise "Dollmaker" Blakely continues to make the two dolls a year that her mother started thirty years ago with the first "Annalise" doll to honor her daughter's birth. Since her beloved mom recently died, Annalise struggles 24/7 to keep her mom's business from going bankrupt. Worse her estranged dad wants back in now that her mom is dead; she does not trust the man who sired her to do anything but siphon funds for his personal use.

Meanwhile her best friend, PR guru Danika wants to date homicide detective Tyler King. Instead Tyler prefers courting Annalise. However, their attraction is put on hold when a serial killer begins strangling women to death before turning them into looking like an Annalise doll. She is the prime suspect even as the killer gloats that he/she is the Real Dollmaker.

This is an enjoyable serial killer romance starring two likable protagonists and a stereotypical psychopath. The story line is fast-paced with the relationship between the sleuth and the doll maker cleverly designed so that he has some niggling doubts as to whether she is the killer. Fans will enjoy Carla Cassidy's latest romantic suspense thriller as Annalise and Tyler make a fine couple
