I use this as a textbook for Masters students learning to construct workflows for delivery of multiple media projects. This book gets them thinking about the cost of delivering an entity's message in terms of resources, effectiveness for various audiences and the learning curve involved for those participating. The topics covered apply to ANY business model, not just non-profits. Efficient use of limited resources is appropriate for everyone. Nicely done.

EVERY NONPROFIT'S GUIDE TO PUBLISHING: CREATING NEWSLETTERS, MAGAZINES & WEBSITES PEOPLE WILL READ appears in its first edition to offer nonprofits - and any library who would cater to them - an excellent reference to the most visible communication device of any nonprofit group. These publications can be used to raise money, attract new members, and promote causes; but before a nonprofit creates one, read EVERY NONPROFIT'S GUIDE TO PUBLISHING - it covers both pitfalls and best practices, including creating a budget, producing consistently high-quality content, and designing the publication for both print and website.

Very Helpful! June 6, 2007
Format:Paperback
I have been involved with non-profit organizations for many years. I wish that this book had been available to me years ago. I found it to be useful with practical information that simply guides the user through the process. Any non-profit that needs to communicate with its members, supporters, and the community at large should find this book very helpfulEvery Nonprofit's Guide to Publishing: Creating Newsletters, Magazines & Websites People Will Read (book with CD-Rom) and worthwhile. As a sidenote, I am not related to Cheryl Woodard, and in fact have never met her.
