This book touches on the problems sistah's are facing with men today. Victor's characters in this book are the different type of men we are continually dealing with. He clearly shows the factors which set the direction for the relationships. But, there's hope for us all because Victor, tells the brothas the answer to every womans heart. All they have to do is apply it and we can work out the details later.
I have already recommended this book to friends and have purchased it for a Christmas present. Frances Latimer

What is it that every woman has longed for, wished for, and prayed for since the beginning of time? Through a cast of colorful characters and the seasons of their life, Victor McGlothin answers this question in his latest literary endeavor, EVERY SISTAH WANTS IT.
Octavia Longbow and Cee Cee Lovely, friends and co-workers at a Dallas radio station, haven't had the best of luck in the romance department. Octavia is in an on again, off again relationship with one of the hottest hip hop artists around. Even though she knows their relationship is headed nowhere fast, Octavia hangs on in there. But when she has a literal run-in with another man who stirs her senses to a degree she's never felt before, will Octavia step out of her comfort zone and experience what true love is all about? Cee Cee has yet to find the one man who makes her heart sing, so she lives vicariously through the lives of her friends. Little does she know, but her Prince Charming has been right under her nose, and he's the last person she expected. When I first picked up this book, I wasn't really sure what "it" was. The more I read though, the clearer it became. Several times throughout this novel, McGlothin eloquently depicts the yearning that dwells deep within us all...men and women alike. At one point I was so moved by his words that I became emotional and immediately marked the page so that when my husband begins to take me for granted, I can whip it out and read that particular passage to him to help him understand what this sistah wants. Every Sistah,

If you have one thing to do in 2005, read Victor McGlothlin's "Every Sistah Wants It." Ladies or gents when you pick it up there will be no reason to put it down. Feathers were flying from the beginning; there was love, tenderness and comedy in between; and a surprise ending. Everything was happening so fast all I wanted to do was keep the pages turning. My sister read it not once, but twice. I was in love with Legacy from the start and he never let me down. It was so easy to get into his character and the way Victor MGlothlin molded him. You know how you read a book and you see neighbohood people that remind you of them, well Ms. Cora reminded me of a lady I once knew. She would clown anybody. I was laughing so hard. You just have to read the book for yourselves. From beginning to end the story was captivating and you never knew what love triangle was going to happen next. I can't wait until the next book comes out. My best to the author, Victor McGlothlin. Keep printing them and I'll keep reading. Mr. McGlothlin has a great perspective of a woman's feelings as he writes for Cee Cee, Octavia, Truest and the others. He also comes for real with the brothas side of things too. At Last.... he came up with the one thing every sistah wants, and you can't argue with the truth. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Ain't this the truth,

Very good, excellent read. Read it in 24 hrs and as expected I was not disappointed. It was good to see Legacy, Marshall and Jasmine return and see how their lives have evolved, although the focus (of the previous characters) was on Legacy and his relationship with Octavia. I felt like maybe you were speaking to me when you wrote this book. So much of how I viewed men and what I "thought " I wanted in a man was so similar to Cece's views and what the man should have materialistically or in relation to education. I could also relate the issues regarding women who have married someone and have settled for the "compensating factors", but is that really enough? Should they hold out for true love, and when it hits them, how do they know? Then possibly meeting someone whom they think is their complete "soul mate" but are shackled to the man they settled for. Personally, I do realize the material is trivial, because the material things you obtain while being here are not what you are remembered for, nor does it define who you are.
Now this issue with what women want...I'd have to agree with you on it (you must have spoken to a lot of women during your research for the book). Reciprocity. Interesting, but true. We just want a man who will give push for push, what we are giving in the relationship. Well done...you have definitely read me, if not many women out there. Now this mess with Truest...she was trifling, but she definitely made the book interesting and there are women like her out there. Other women beware and keep a firm hold on your man. In the mix of her doing wrong, and have done wrong to so many others...she ended up being the victim of the heartache she had bestowed on so many other women before. What goes around definitely comes back around. Lastly, Octavia...she was crazy (my favorite character for this novel) and she had a big decision to make. Stay with the old and pray / hope that things will eventually work out the way she'd always wished they would. Or attempt something new with Legacy, she made the right decision. If after years a man doesn't change his stripes, why would we think he would now? Let go of the same old, same old...even if there is no one to move on to, move on alone. You'll be better after doing it. Such an insightful and thought provoking book. You'll having me reeling for weeks and I thank you... Sincerely A Loyal Fan,

This was a hot, sexy, funny pageturner that was an emotional roller coaster ride!
Yes, not just every sister but every woman needs it! I will not let the cat out of the bag, GO READ THIS BOOK! Finally a breathe of fresh air that definitely told the truth about how we women feel. Cee-Cee and Octavia are two sisters who are on a search for Mr. Right! Alphonzo's enlightment will make you just want to squeeze and kiss him! You will fall in love with Legacy (AKA Freelance). The antics of the male DJs down at the station will have you laughing to the point of tears! I.Rome will make you want to just smack him upside his big "PLAYA" head! Thanks Mr. McGlothin for a most enjoyable read that delved into the male and female psyche and made you rethink a lot of pertinent isuues! I am looking forward to Down on my Knees! You are one talented fabulous writer! God Bless you!!!!

I truly enjoyed Legacy and Octavia characters. They will truly unique but very much real. I too hope one day to meet my Knight and shining armor man. Hopefully, he will have so much love to give as well as receive.

This was the first but certainly not the last book of Victor's that I have had the pleasure of reading. I was truly impressed at the writing skills of this brother. This book was excellantly written. The Characters were very detailed as well as the storyline. All of the characters were witty and defined. I esp. enjoyed the storyline regarding Octavia and Legacy. We all need a Legacy in our life. I am at a lost for words because of the way the author gave us all a lesson on what every sistah wants. Obviously Victor did some serious research because he should be reprinting the last couple of chapters and selling it to every man that will listen. If you are looking for a funny book... then this is it... if you are looking for a serious book... then this is it... if you are looking for a love story... then this is it... Victor keep up the great work as a writer, however I think you missed your calling as a male/female relationship guru!

Victor McGothin never ceases to amaze me. The sequel to "Autumn Leaves" was REMARKABLE. You took your time with this one and allowed the reader to walk through the lives of every character in your book. What every sistah wants should be at the door step of EVERY male who considers himself "dating material or husband material" Too often people take life for granted both male and female and look at dating as nothing but a game until someone has to "REAPED what they have SEWED"
Victor glides through the lives of the middle class, upper class, wannbe class and the no class at tall class. I bet that if any reader reads this book, they will be able to find themselves or apart of themselves in at least one or two characters in ANY of his books. Keep them coming because The Ladies of the New Millennium Book Club cant get enough! See you this summer and Be Blessed!
