Book Description

April 24, 2006
We came together as complete strangers, bonded by our compassion and caring for one another. We are the parents of children who have died before us. Our mission is to share our experiences during our grieving through our personal journeys. We know, firsthand, through the pain and separation of losing a child, that survival is possible, even through the darkest days of bereavement. Collectively, we have found that through love, helping ourselves, reaching out to others, and living a full life through acceptance, faith, and forgiveness, we have been able to move forward. We hope you, or someone you know who has lost a child, will come to a greater understanding knowing you are not alone in your grief or coping with your loss. Our hope is that we can give you the strength, the inspiration, the optimism, and the courage to know there are many different ways to cope—and finding one’s way along the path takes time.

This review is from: Every Step of the Way: How Four Mothers Coped with Child Loss (Paperback)
For those who have ever experienced the untimely loss of a loved one, in particular the death of a child, get this book. It is personal, thought-provoking, well-written, and very easy to understand. I am certain you will find comfort in the four very personal stories of a journey through grief to regaining a purpose to life.

Four mothers share a very personal story of the pain, confusion and destabilization experienced by the loss of a child. I think this book will be helpfull to bereaved parents and friends that want to understand them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Step of the Way: How Four Mothers Coped with Child Loss, November 25, 2006
This review is from: Every Step of the Way: How Four Mothers Coped with Child Loss (Paperback)
As a mother of a child who has passed I have enjoyed this book. Anne D and her friends write a wonderful book on how they have learned many things. HOw much pain they have felt. I think it is wonderful how they have written a book to help others who have lost children. This book was very helpful to me to understand that I am not the only one. I appreicate the four ladies who wrote it. Anne D thank you for being a friend and for the million tears we have shared.
