The Catholic Christian,
This review is from: Every Teaching Of Jesus In The Bible Everything In The Bible Series (Paperback)
The Author has done an excellent job in providing very clear insight to the Messages that Jesus taught, and how and why the Gentiles received Christ. And as the saying goes "the rest is History".

I like the book, but, I was shocked at how it looked when I was purchasing the item he stated it was like new, when I recieved the book it was covered in drink stains and the ends were ruffled (not like new) I'm afraid. I wouldn't order anything from A & B Booksellers again.

You'd do better just reading the Bible itself,

This review is from: Every Teaching Of Jesus In The Bible Everything In The Bible Series (Paperback)
I purchased this book with hopes I would gain insight on Jesus' teachings. What I got were a bunch of non-Biblical terms and doctrines which weren't anywhere close to what Jesus taught. The author is clueless on simple things like the Hebrew concept of agency. Without that basic understanding, everything else one tries to discuss about Jesus and his beliefs becomes a mass of contradictions and confusion.
Jesus never said that he was God the Son, (this phrase isn't even in the Bible but the author adds it anyway), a diety, (Greek word which indicates there can be more than one god, when Jews are strict Monotheists), or incarnated. Jesus DID say, however: "Now this is eternal life, that they may know YOU the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." (John 17:3) Jesus clearly taught that someone other than himself is the ONLY true God. That would be his Father, Yahweh and the qualifier "ONLY" means there can be no others. Save your money and read your Bible which will tell you what Jesus said & taught. This book only reflects what the author believes and has no real bearing on what Jesus himself believed or taught as a Monotheistic Jew. Just a rehashing of man-made doctrines and later church traditions. I'm tossing it. What a waste! |
