Wahida follows up her smash "Thugs And The Women Who Love Them" with this hot sequel. Whereas the first book focused more on Kyra and Jaz, this second one features Roz (aka Tasha) and Angel.

What's Good About This Book - You get to catch up with the ladies and follow the drama they deal with from their men all in the name of love. Roz falls in love with Trae but she wants him to get out of the game before it's too late. Angel is a lawyer who falls for Trae's best friend Kaylin, also a hustler. Angel has more at stake for the simple fact that she is a lawyer and could lose her license dealing with this man. The author does a good job of showing how the drama goes both ways. Yeah, there's drama that automatically comes with dealing with a hustler but the women aren't perfect either, so you'll find yourself switching sides. Overall, this is a good sequel and from the explosive ending deserves at least one more to wrap it up.

What's Bad About This Book - For one, Roz, who is now called Tasha. I don't understand the point of the name change, maybe some inside thing Ms. Clark and somebody else only understands. Second, typos, typos, and some more typos. At one point Tasha was spelled "Trash". I support African-American authors but will continue to hold their printed word to the same standard as any other author. I understand slang but when there's just outright typos and grammatical errors, I'm going to call you on it. Stop blaming the publishing company and take responsibility for your work. I do give Ms. Clark credit for letting you know in the Raw & Uncut version that the publishing was a rush job. Nevertheless it's her name behind the finished product so she takes the hit.

Despite the few negatives, the book is worth reading and will not disappoint. I will definitely buy future novels from this author.

Okay....the book was good, any real reader could over look the mistakes that was in the book and you knew who was talking from other things going on in the book. The story line was in-taced correctly and I enjoyed this one better than the first. But the same questions as the other readers: Where did Snake come from when he was poisoned in the first book and beat down? Who and Why did "someone" shot Trea? I mean come on....you left your readers hanging at the end, you have to come correct on this thing....let us know if you plan on having a sequel or series so we as the readers will know what to expect.

Keep the books...comin'

After reading Thugs and the Women Who Love Them, I was up in arms concerning how it ended. I was full of questions - what, why, who and when? That's where sequels, follow-ups and part 2 come into play. And what a sequel it was! After getting into Wahida Clark's writing style I continued on the thug journey.
I enjoyed visiting the old playas (Kyra & Marvin) (Jaz and Faheem). But truly fell in love with Tash (Roz) and Trea's story. The relationship of these two characters was OFF THE CHAIN. Even though Trae was a stone-cold brother, he loved and took care of Tash. I was happy to see all the ladies, through adversity, obtain their dreams. Wahida spins a story about life and the choices made, that's sweet but sugar coated. She shows you the Game and the consequence of playing it.
I enjoyed this book so much I read it twice, and that's something I "rarely" do. This book was so HOT that I have several people wanting to read it. But as a book connoisseur, I told them to purchase their own copy.
Wahida, you left us hanging at the end with what happen to Trae, but it's all good. You CAN'T take Trae from us now! Kaylin is going to need Trae to deal with Snake (readers you know what I'm talking about). BRING ON book number 3 "Don't Knock the Hustle!" WE'RE ANXIOUSLY WAITING!!!

This is the follow-up to Thugs and the Women who Love Them. The story follows Roz, Angel, Kyra and Jasmine and the never ending drama with their men. All though Kyra and Jasmine are in this book, it deals mostly with Roz and Angel.
Roz has just broken up with her man of 5 years who is currently in jail on drug charges. Her ex's best friend, Trae is falling for her and she's desperatly trying to fight him off because she doesn't want to live that lifestyle anymore.
Angel is falling for Trae's right hand man, Kaylin who is a drug dealer as well. This love affair can become very dangerous being that Angel is studying to become a lawyer.
This book was good from beginnig to end. Filled with sex, lies and lots of drama till the very end. The ending calls for yet another sequel. I would have given it 5 stars but because of the numerous errors in the book, I gave it 4 stars. I can't wait for the next book entitled, Don't Knock the Hustle.
