WOW! If Pam could only do this every time!, October 18, 2001
This review is from: Every Time (Audio CD)
I waited a very long time for this CD release, and I am in heaven with what I found. The songs on this CD are no less than profound. Tillis couldn't get any countrier than "Whiskey On The Wound"- destined to become a classic. "I Said A Prayer For You" has a beat that makes you put the petal to the metal. Check out the tender ballads "Every Time" and "Hurt Myself." Also, "You Put The Lonely On Me," "A Whisper And A Scream," "Lay The Heartache Down," and "We Must Be Thinking Alike" are no less than a work of art. Tillis is no longer contracted with Arista, so order this CD before it goes out of print.

Every Time = Pam at her BEST, May 21, 2005
This review is from: Every Time (Audio CD)
This is quite possibly my favorite album that Pam Tillis has ever released. Actually, every album Pam has put out has been amazing. Anyone who says "All of This Love" was the beginning of the end is completely out of their mind. "All of This Love" and "Every Time" may not have produced many hits, but in my opinion, they are probably Pam's best. Every song on this album is a hit of its own. The uptempo songs on this album ("I Said A Prayer," "You Put the Lonely on Me," "Lay the Heartache Down," "Not Me") go above and beyond your average fast song. They totally rock. The title track should have been a huge hit on its own. It's a wonderfully produced ballad. The rest of the ballads are also brilliant. Pam is at her best here. She took a three year break between this album and the last, and the wait was truly worth it. The album ends with Pam's version of a song that Martina McBride had recorded three years earlier--"A Great Disguise." Pam put her own twist on the song, and it worked out very well as a conclusion to this album, which I am proud to call a masterpiece.

Underrated album from Tillis, May 14, 2004
This review is from: Every Time (Audio CD)
This album wasn't much of a commercial success, but there's some great songs throughout. The lead single "I Said A Prayer" is an infectuous uptempo that was the only hit from the album. The title track is a classic Tillis ballad that should have been a bigger hit. There's some nice uptempo songs like "You Put The Lonely On Me", "Not Me", "Lay The Heartache Down", and heartfelt ballads such as "A Great Disguise", "After Hours", "Hurt Myself" and "A Whisper and A Scream". Overall a fairly good album.
