Every Woman in the Bible has shed light on three areas in the Bible that were very confusing to me. (I am so glad that Sue and Larry Richards wrote this book. )

First, Sue and Larry Richards explain how the relationships between men and women became distorted after the fall, and what their relationship was before the fall. This distortion is shown in the relationships between men and women during the time of the old testement; however, we see a different attitude toward women from Jesus in the new testiment that shows a restoration of the original relationship at the creation.

Second, the background information about the culture and perspectives during those times in which each woman lived, brings each woman alive and personalizes them, as well as completes an emphatic understanding for each woman.

Third, the discussion on Paul's perspective on women shows that Paul is not a male chavenist, and shows that Paul really does not contradict himself once we see the background history and the specific-situational-curcumstance he is adressing.

Every Woman in the Bible is a God-send, I believe, so that His people who are searching the scriptures for truth can draw niegher to Him.

Every Woman in the Bible is an eye opening book on the use of women's stories in the bible. Richards does an excellent job of explaining and guiding the reader. I would highly reccommend this book for anyone interested in studying women in the bible and how their stories apply to us today.

I received this book as a Christmas gift from my sister-in law and fell in love with it so much that I bought several copies for several of my close friends. All of my friends feel the same way about it as I. It goes into excellent details of each woman's life and is backed up by scripture. The author really does lots of research on each of these women's lives and presents the information in such a way that is neither boring nor documentary-like. I recommend it for all women, not just Christian women.

This has alot of women that are in the Bible. It does not have alot of information about them. I was expecting more information on the women.

Every Woman in the Bible is an excellent companion reference to any Bible study. The authors not only discuss each specific woman, but also delve into the culture and religious practices of the times in which these women lived. Everyone in my Bible study joins me in recommending this book!

I love this book. I haven't finished it in it's entirety because I am using it for a bible study group which meets weekly. When I've completed it I will amend this rating. But, so far, so good. It's a must buy.

This study is complete and detailed about the women of the Bible. I recommend it for detailed presentation and also as a backup book.

I have found this to be an excellent resource to learn more than what is written in the Bible about these women. I've looked at other books about this topic but found this to be the most informative. My Sunday School Class which is all women are using this book for our lessons each week. We take one woman a week for our lesson. We have had some wonderful discussions concerning what we see in the Bible or can just imagine what it might have been in that time frame. I even purchased five extra books @all less than $2 for those in the class that couldn't afford them.
