Every Word Has Power is one of the most powerful and transforming books I have ever read - it is so full of wisdom. As I read it I marked it up with my yellow marker, pen and pencil! In the introduction the author describes the human brain and elaborates that the language we are using today has many words that are in essence outdated - they evolved out of our middle brain polarity thinking. This book teaches us not only a new `updated' language but also how to communicate by accessing our higher brain - the `more recently' developed neocortex. When I read this section, this was such a revelation for me - a light went off! I took German language classes as a teen and learning it was a process which required attention, intention and practice - so why would my learning to think and talk a new language of high-energy communication be any different. I suddenly had a patient mindset. The wisdom in this book goes beyond `think positive' - it offers real life examples and exercises - to teach us how to interact with our world from a high energy state. There is a simple and powerful decision making technique which taps you into your higher consciousness (and this process works for me, even when my ego does not like the answers! Seems my higher consciousness prefers that I eat more vegetables and decrease the ice cream!) And just wait till you do the forgiveness technique! Since working with this material I feel a self-strength in my life again. I am grateful to the author and thank her for providing this information for 'the many' - it truly is a gift. Be prepared to change your life for the absolute BEST!

Yvonne is spot on! Not only does she share her expertise as a hypnotherapist with Magic of the Mind exercises that INSTANTLY change your state of mind, she shows you how to completely release limiting beliefs that you've been lugging around for years. What terrific insight to share with the world. This work is transforming. I would highly recommend getting this book and sharing it with the people in your life. It's simple! and it works!

I am still reading this little book and it is taking me longer than it normally takes for me to read other books because I want to savor every word. Yvonne's book has something for everyone and if one is willing to do the exercises your life can be changed for the better,or if you feel you life is great this book can help with your job,your relationships,your self esteem and many other areas in your life that could use some fine tuning. These types of books are NOT the solve all your problems overnight magic bullet but tools to help you as long as your are willing to do what they suggest.

I will tell you that at 56 years of age I am just now learning the difference in how negative and positive emotions affect the body.

As well as how our words and thoughts affect your life, your relationships,your career, and much more. I was truly amazed.

...All Day Long! Yvonne Oswald has done a tremendous job in laying out the blueprint on how we can not only improve the communication with ourselves but also with the people in our lives.

This book is filled with many truths. One of the core concepts of this book is that Switching your language provides a wonderful solution to nonproductive selftalk.

For example,

'It's hard' becomes 'It's not easy'

'I'm broke' becomes 'I'm not rich'

The beauty of this strategy is that your unconscious mind doesn't hear the word 'not'. Therefore it hears,

'It's easy'

'I'm rich'

Now those words are music to my ears!

The author states that the unconscious mind thinks you're talking about yourself when you are talking about other people. In other words, it accepts things literally and personally.

Makes you think twice about speaking negatively about other people,huh?:)

Another key concept that was discussed was the fact that the unconscious mind's prime directive is to operate and preserve the physical body, so all suggestions that have to do with keeping the body healthy are immediately accepted, remembered and acted upon.

This is an incredible value piece of information because you can use this when setting your goals. Now, like many self-help people, she talks about using affirmations that incorporate preserving your health. I think that's excellent advice. If affirmations work for you, be all means, continue to use them as a method of presenting your desire to the unconscious mind.

However, if you are like most people, and have challenges with affirmations, I suggest you present your desires to the unconscious mind in the form of a question instead.

Here are some examples:

'Why is receiving $250,000 in income from my business so exciting and so healthy for me now?'

'Why is meeting my dream woman so healthy for me now?'

'Why is receiving a brand new Mercedes Benz so healthy for me now?

Basically, the author is saying that you can reprogram the unconscious mind simply by understanding the instruction it needs in order to produce high-energy and directed output.

The author also talks about associating high energy words with your goals as a way to supercharge them. Some examples of high energy words are: choose/choice, God, harmony, believe, success, exciting, etc.

Furthermore, the author who is a Master NLP practitioner, talks about the 4 modes of communication and how to recognize another persons communication style so you can build rapport with them. I thought this was really practical, especially for men. Women, on average, are better communicators than men. It's not that men can't communicate. It's just that it comes more naturally to women. I recognize how important communication is so I'm always looking for ways to improve it.

Therefore, I highly recommend you read and apply the strategies in this book to create the life you truly deserve. I also recommend you get The Secret Code of Success by Noah St. John because it complements this book very well.

Every Word Has Power is a delightful read for truth seekers and their friends. Yvonne Oswald's sparkling wit and brilliant insight are shown to advantage in this wonderful hands-on book about the power of the spoken and written Word. The modest title belies the wisdom she has obviously accumulated over a lifetime. A fine mind and truthful presence, she knows her subject so well she renders the principles of the language of manifestation accessible to all.

Simple Truths are always the best. Yvonne's life changing book has opened my eyes and my mind and improved my life and those around me! Communication is 7% verbal, 38% tonal, and 55% body language. In a world of texting and email as the primary mode of communication, no wonder so much gets lost in translation and interpretation.

Yvonne's book will change your way of looking at communication and approaching life overall.

This book may be the most important book you'll ever read. Changing your words will change your experience.

The author explores the belief that every word has power, thus your thoughts, what you say to yourself & others has positive or negative power. This is a concept I believe in wholeheartedly & use in my practice as a board certified hypnotherapist. Create an awareness of & choose the words you say to yourself & others wisely & you will change your energy & your life. I love the index included for recommendations of what phrases to use instead of. Example-no problem. Using the word problem infers trouble. A simple 'You're welcome' is much higher positive energy. For years I have substituted the word challenge for problem with amazing results- Much lighter emotional energy around any obstacles or disappointments.

Because I understand the power of words, I believe that Every Word Has Power by Yvonne Oswald should be required reading in every classroom in the world. Only when one is aware of the magnitude of the power of their thoughts and words can they deliberately attract what they prefer to be, do, have, and experience. Thanks, Yvonne, for spreading the word (no pun intended). Oh, and your CD is beyond awesome. Honestly, I could listen to your warm, resonant voice all day.
