As a non-lawyer, I'm involved with a literary society and we have original papers that we wanted to publish, having no clue as to how to or what to - this book helped us to comply with the law, as well as protect our intellectual property. It helped us deal with issues that are complex, but not impossbile to navigate, even for the creative types.

Great resource book. I'm involved with permissions editing, and this answered several of the questions I had.

This book is a sine qua non for any and every writer! Read this book prior to sending out ANY manuscripts! The author tells you in simple language facts you MUST KNOW to protect yourself and your writing! THE THIRD EDITION (not yet reviewed by anyone else on this website) INCLUDES REFERENCES TO THE MOST RECENT CASES AND CHANGES IN THE COPYRIGHT LAW, including internet examples such as debunking internet publishing scams.
