Ted Lewis Dixieland Style, January 21, 2007

Ted Lewis was one of the pioneers of jazz in the twenties and he later changed to more of a big-band sound. The recordings on this CD are in the earlier style and this version of his theme "When My Baby Smiles at Me" is the best version. If you want to know more about Ted Lewis buy the book ME AND MY FATHERS SHADOW.
