Best Trisha Yearwood CD,
By Mark (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
All the songs here are top notch. This album is much better than her first two albums (Trisha Yearwood & Hearts In Armour), a little better than her last album and her newest(Thinkin' About You & Where Your Road Leads). This is her best album to date. The songs flow into one another better than any of her other albums. Trisha is probably the most under-rated country female singer, being shadowed by Faith Hill and Shania Twain. But this voice will never die.

Trisha's Best!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
Everybody Knows is Trisha Yearwood's best album yet. This is a lady who knows how to sing, and who knows what she wants to say. All of her albums are great (including SONGBOOK, THINKIN' ABOUT YOU, HEARTS IN ARMOR, THE SONG REMEMBERS WHEN, TRISHA YEARWOOD, THE SWEETEST GIFT, and her current WHERE YOUR ROAD LEADS, so pick them all. If you are a fan of Jewel, Sarah McLaughlin, Shawn Colvin, Linda Rondstadt, or Bonnie Raitt, you would be a fan of Trisha Yearwood!.

Trisha Yearwood must be one of the best country gals since Linda Ronstadt. Her sweet but powerful tones and the ways she holds on to those beautiful notes on Everybody knows makes me melt into my loungechair while listening to this album. There are also some rockin tracks like The title track that are great for gettin' ya goin in the mornin'.......One of my favorite all time albums......A must buy for any country fan young or old......yehaa!!!! Go girl, you rock!!!!!!Lee Rimmer, Capel, Western Australia

Everybody Knows about Trisha Yearwood!!,
By
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
EVERYBODY KNOWS is a well-balanced CD of great songs and really great songs. There's really nothing wrong with the CD, it just isn't as strong as THINKING ABOUT YOU. The strength of the singles, "Believe Me Baby (I Lied)" and "Everybody Knows" carry the weight of the CD, as well as, "I Need You." "Little Hercules," Under The Rainbow," and "A Lover Is Forever" stand out as strong album cuts. Check out the lyrics on the insert.

I love Trisha,
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
I remember a Trisha interview that siad she wouldn't record a song if she couldn't feel good about singing it in front of Linda Rondstadt. i think that has made her a great recording star - because her music is never shallow or "fad-like". She knows how to belt out a ballad (Maybe It's Love) or have fun with it (Believe Me Baby, Everybody Knows). She never goes off the deep end nor does she leave you feeling like something's missing. All in all, excellent music that can be listened to over and over.

Trisha's voice is an instrument,
By Black Ice (Portland, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
I'd give this CD 4 and a half stars, but couldn't because Amazon wouldn't allow me to do that. I love most songs on Everybody Knows, but the ones I don't like aren't bad- they aren't my cup of tea. I recognize the fact Trisha Yearwood has impeccable talent and that she always picks the best songs in Nashville. The thing I like about Trisha is how she gives each song a different meaning. Every time I listen to her songs, I get something different out of it. Her songs will become classics. I also like how Trisha doesn't oversing her material like other singers around. She has a powerful voice, but knows how to use it effectively in order to convey the appropiate message. I like to call her the thinking singer because you can tell she puts a lot of thought into every note she sings. I cannot wait until she releases new material.

The greatest female country singer in the world,
By
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
This is a magnificent CD, but only one of many. Trisha is the most underated female singer I know of, almost unheard of in the UK. I have had the pleasure of meeting her in person at a concert in Los Angeles and she is as lovely off stage as on, totally unaffected by her fame. All fans should push her name forward at every opportunity, the world deserves to hear more of her.Alan Lowe. UK.

Raw Emotion,

This review is from: Everybody Knows (+4 Bonus Tracks) (Audio CD)
Trisha Yearwood's fifth studio album Everybody Knows is one of her albums that is often overlooked, but it stands as one of her strongest albums in her entire catalogue. This album makes a strong case that her ability to choose the perfect song is an even more valuable talent than most artists. There is such honesty that goes with the lyrics, there is comfort when Yearwood sings, people listen. The album was a moderate hit, with two #1 songs, "Believe Me Baby (I Lied)" and "Everybody Knows". The vocal quality Yearwood is expressing on this album is remarkable, a very strong and clear voice. Songs like "Little Hercules" or "Under The Rainbow" are beautiful songs that leave you breathless. "Maybe It's Love" is a beautiful song explaining the joys and fears and all emotions felt when discovering love. "Hello I'm Gone" and "A Lover is Forever" show a strong woman in a bad relationship. There is so much expressed when she sings, its truly beautiful. .... The extra tracks are "Even A Cowboy Can Dream", "Find A River", and "Chance I Take". This is essential for any music lover, you will enjoy this album in all its beauty and honesty.

Absolutely wonderful,
This review is from: Everybody Knows (Audio CD)
I had not been a fan of country music very long when I purchased this CD. Five years later, I am still blown away every time I listen to it, especially if I let a few months go by in between, which is difficult to do because the entire record is that good! It's appropriate for all moods, in all types of weather, at home, in your car, and while working on your computer... A great mix of fast, slow, fun, and sadly heartfelt stories which Ms. Yearwood incredibly manages to convey as if they are her own. I always listen to the entire record, start to finish, and usually play it over again right away, as I never find myself tiring of the music, especially the first four or five songs. This would be one of the first CDs I'd choose to put on "The Top Ten Records I Couldn't Live Without if Stranded on a Desert Island" list. After that, most everything else is a distant second.

Everybody Knows is Yearwood's best album to date. It showcases her ability to choose the songs that suit her voice. Every song on here shines, from the catchy Believe Me Baby (I Lied) to the vocal powerhouse used in Under The Rainbow. Other standouts include I Need You, Little Hercules, Hello I'm Gone, the title track, I want To Live Again and every other song. This is Yearwood at her best.
