5.0 out of 5 stars All great Wang Chung tracks, except one.
I love this album. Wang Chung has a very 'typical 80s' sound and its very well summed up in this pop/rock album. The compilation is virtually complete. Its got all their classic and most memorable songs.

IMHO, they should have included one song. Fire in the Twilight. Although never commercially released, this is the song they did for the Breakfast Club soundtrack. A...

how could anyone possibly like this? Music has only gotten progressively worse since Wang Chung's inception. Take my advice, don't waste your money.

I LOVE this CD. I, personally, am stuck in an 80's new wave music rut. This CD contains it all. I recommend this to anyone who remembers what GOOD music is.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good way to start for newbies, June 18, 2011
This review is from: Everybody Wang Chung Tonight - Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
By far their best album is "Warmer Side Of Cool", which is remarkable in a timeless sort of way. But that album doesn't have their most well known hits. So get this one, which is likely a better choice over the OTHER greatest hits album I saw here on Amazon when I bought this.

If you want to hear a great album, be sure to get "Warmer Side Of Cool". Skip "Points On The Curve" and "Mosaic" and that movie soundtrack unless you're a super fan or have the money to burn to satisfy some curiosity.

Back to this Greatest Hits album: It has some extra versions. The alternate newer version of "Everybody Wang Chung Tonight" is acoustically oriented and slower, and doesn't work for me, especially factoring in the lyrics.

The alternate newer version of "Dance Hall Days" is really cool, kind of a slightly faster techno or trance treatment with less emphasis on the syncopated charm of the original. Took me by surprise at first, but by the second listen I was liking it, and now I love it. So you have two great versions here.

The rest of the songs belong here for the most part. You have some from "Warmer Side Of Cool", but if you only had enough money for one CD, get that one instead of this one, and get this one later.

I was looking for this CD for a long time and wasn't able to locate it anywhere else. Worth every cent I paid for the purchase and international shipping. I was really only looking for one track on the CD but the rest were a bonus. If you collect 80's music, this is a MUST HAVE! Excellent quality. Excellent turnaround time from the sellers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 80's style dance music, March 5, 2003

Wang Chung is probably most known for their song "Everybody Have Fun Tonight", but they had another great dance song "Let's Go!" These two songs can really energize you, especially if you start singing and dancing to them. Both have a lot of bass, drums, fast tempo, and loud vocals, a sure-fire combination for an adrenaline rush. "Let's Go!" is a great song to start the day with, or to exercise with. "To Live and Die in L.A." is a softer song with a really nice beat. If you're looking for great party songs, "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" and "Let's Go!" are two of the best. So let's go Wang Chung tonight!
