Editorial Reviews

Review

"Great riffs, powerful vocals, and catching yourself playing air guitar are good indicators of a great rock band. The Answer brings all that and more with their second full length album, "Everyday Demons."" --Metal Underground

"[These] four hard-blues boys proved they knew their business well with an assault that was heavy Seventies a la UFO and Irish slide-guitar god Rory Gallagher, delivered with smart writing and true-believers swagger." --Rolling Stone

"If you want to see what Zeppelin were like in the 70's, go see The Answer." --JIMMY PAGE (Led Zepplin)

Product Description

These four rock-loving lads from Downpatrick, Northern Ireland got together while still at university in 2000. They signed a contract with the legendary Australian rock label, Albert Productions, in 2005 and brought out their debut album, Rise, in 2006. Rise has since sold more than 100,000 copies abroad. The band have performed with icons such as the Rolling Stones, The Who and Aerosmith, playing celebrated headlining tours in Europe, Japan and Australia.

The Answers conquest of North America, which began at SXSW in early 2008 and roared through year s end when they embarked on their first-ever tour of the continent as the opening act for AC/DC s Black Ice juggernaut. They placed a track on Guitar Hero: World Tour and released their debut U.S. title, the EP/DVD Never Too Late (The End Records). Topping it all off, the band s first North American full-length album, Everyday Demons arrives in March 31st. A real red-letter day for all rock music fans!

Everyday Demons, The Answers second LP will be their American debut, a masterpiece full of empathy and classic references. While the band is used to comparisons to rock icons such as Led Zeppelin, Free and Thin Lizzy, they re looking to Everyday Demons (The End Records) to bring their own signature sound to the fore a sound whose 21st century kick is as potent as its formidable 20th century influences.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyday Demons is Great!, March 31, 2009
This review is from: Everyday Demons (Audio CD)
If you were one of many folks that caught the Answer when the opened up for AC/DC in 2008/2009, you already have an idea how good these guys are.

Everyday Demons is the band's sophomore effort, but U.S. Debut. Their European debut Rise is full of catchy rockers. On Everyday demons you get a good does of stadium anthems, great rockers, and some amazing vocals by Cormac Neeson. There are some tracks where the Answer taps into their inner Zeppelin, but the songs are great, and will have you hitting repeat on your ipod.

If you are a fan of 70's classic hard rock, you have to hear The Answer dish out their modern day take on classic rock. This is a great CD. Worth every penny!

5.0 out of 5 stars nice work, March 11, 2009
I saw these guys live on January 31 in Nashville, and have been an avid fan eversince. Their first CD Rise is a nice work, but you can tell that the band had yet to find their niche; however, with everyday demons, I found a much more mature and commercial sound. The big plus for this edition is that you get a taste of what they are like live, which to me, is almost better than the studio recordings. Nevertheless, I was really impressed with this album, and encourage others to give it a try. I also encourage people to look at rise (their first album), and never too late (their EP).

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to ROCK YOU AGAIN, April 5, 2009
This review is from: Everyday Demons (Audio CD)
The verdict is in! The Answer ROCKS! The band's highly anticipated sophmore release 'EVERYDAY DEMONS', will blow you away once you press play! Blessed with great musicianship and songwriting, the lads believe their youth and energy to convincingly channel the spirits of 70s hard rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy. The Answer are, Cormac Neeson on vocals, Paul Mahon on the six string, Micky Waters handling the bass, and James Heatley on the skins. Four guys hailing from Northern Ireland who grew up listening to their parents' record collection. The result - exuberant Rock music played with guts, power and loads of skill capturing perfectly the excitement and joy of the shared experience which is great Rock `n Roll. From the second, "Demon Eyes" fires out of your speakers it's no holds bar rock and roll at its finest. Then you have numbers like, "Too Far Gone", "Dead Of The Night", "Pride" and the guitar laden mover, "On and On", that are simply put, pure uncut full throttle rock and roll power. There is seriously not a weak track on here and it sets the bar really high for future rock albums this year and for many years to come. Yes, their Free and Zeppelin influences shine brightly, but this is no cheap classic rip off outfit. This is young, fresh, and has more power than a suped up turbo charged'67 Chevy. Mark my words, The Answer are set to re-energize and revive the rock music scene and take it to a new generation. 'Everyday Demons' is a terrific ride of an album that shows, in complete contrast to the depressing wailings of the trendy indie set, just how joyful and exuberant music can and should be, and how tremendous it can make you feel. There is something for everyone here: The Answer; this WILL restore your faith in modern musicianship and give you hope for the future. The lads gave us fair warning with their powerful debut release 'Rise'. Now they are back and they are taking no prisoners! Welcome back boys!
