Everyday Demons is Great!,

If you were one of many folks that caught the Answer when the opened up for AC/DC in 2008/2009, you already have an idea how good these guys are.
Everyday Demons is the band's sophomore effort, but U.S. Debut. Their European debut Rise is full of catchy rockers. On Everyday demons you get a good does of stadium anthems, great rockers, and some amazing vocals by Cormac Neeson. There are some tracks where the Answer taps into their inner Zeppelin, but the songs are great, and will have you hitting repeat on your ipod. If you are a fan of 70's classic hard rock, you have to hear The Answer dish out their modern day take on classic rock. This is a great CD. Worth every penny!

nice work,
This review is from: Everyday Demons (Limited Edition) (incl. Bonus Disc) (Audio CD)
I saw these guys live on January 31 in Nashville, and have been an avid fan eversince. Their first CD Rise is a nice work, but you can tell that the band had yet to find their niche; however, with everyday demons, I found a much more mature and commercial sound. The big plus for this edition is that you get a taste of what they are like live, which to me, is almost better than the studio recordings. Nevertheless, I was really impressed with this album, and encourage others to give it a try. I also encourage people to look at rise (their first album), and never too late (their EP).

Back to ROCK YOU AGAIN,

The verdict is in! The Answer ROCKS! The band's highly anticipated sophmore release 'EVERYDAY DEMONS', will blow you away once you press play! Blessed with great musicianship and songwriting, the lads believe their youth and energy to convincingly channel the spirits of 70s hard rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy. The Answer are, Cormac Neeson on vocals, Paul Mahon on the six string, Micky Waters handling the bass, and James Heatley on the skins. Four guys hailing from Northern Ireland who grew up listening to their parents' record collection. The result - exuberant Rock music played with guts, power and loads of skill capturing perfectly the excitement and joy of the shared experience which is great Rock `n Roll. From the second, "Demon Eyes" fires out of your speakers it's no holds bar rock and roll at its finest. Then you have numbers like, "Too Far Gone", "Dead Of The Night", "Pride" and the guitar laden mover, "On and On", that are simply put, pure uncut full throttle rock and roll power. There is seriously not a weak track on here and it sets the bar really high for future rock albums this year and for many years to come. Yes, their Free and Zeppelin influences shine brightly, but this is no cheap classic rip off outfit. This is young, fresh, and has more power than a suped up turbo charged'67 Chevy. Mark my words, The Answer are set to re-energize and revive the rock music scene and take it to a new generation. 'Everyday Demons' is a terrific ride of an album that shows, in complete contrast to the depressing wailings of the trendy indie set, just how joyful and exuberant music can and should be, and how tremendous it can make you feel. There is something for everyone here: The Answer; this WILL restore your faith in modern musicianship and give you hope for the future. The lads gave us fair warning with their powerful debut release 'Rise'. Now they are back and they are taking no prisoners! Welcome back boys!

Ireland has The Answer,
By Paul Lawrence "'EJL'" (Australia) - See all my reviews

Way hyped band, Classic Rock magazine basically carrying on like these musical throwbacks were the second coming. With acres of flares, truckloads of tresses and rampant riffs - not to mention Cormac Neesons high pitched Zep/Wolfmother-esque vocals... well it's little wonder the writers at CR got a little flustered. Not to mention the fact that they are Irish - which means you get to fill a few column inches mentioning Thin Lizzy (another favourite CR pastime).
And you know what, when you strip away all the hype this band are riding high with not just one good album, but now two good albums under their belts. Their infectious good times so well displayed on their first record are also on display live (caught `em at the Annandale, Sydney, Australia). The album blasts out of the blocks on the back Demon Eyes, a great traditional hard rockin' number that is ably backed up by Too Far Gone. In fact, if you are uncertain whether to buy into this band my honest advice is to download these two tracks and they'll pretty much seal the deal for you one way or the other. The album continues in much the same vein of traditionally produced heavy rock `n' roll in love with all the greats of the past but with a youthful vigour - even if these guys are veterans after the hard slogging years back home in Ireland. There is a version of this that has a bonus track on it - Highwater Or Hell - but it doesn't have Revolutions. Go figure.

all i have to say is WOW!!!
The new album by the Irish band The Answer, Everyday Demons, is brilliant! i got a chance to see them on the AC/DC 2008 tour and they kicked a$$!!! the guitar playing with cool riff is awe-inspiring..the vocalist looks like Robert Plant..the band has transformed 1970s hard rock and metal into the new century with power and thunder..their influences of AC/DC 70s riffs is right there, along with those of Thin Lizzy and UFO. I dont give a damm if you're not a rocker fan or fan of hard rock..plug it in!!! buy it!!! you'll be humming all night long...

I'd have to say... this is a great album! It's certainly not as good as their debute album (Rise), but it's still awesome. This album is really memorable, the lyrics and guitar riffs and the vocals. The albums singles are really addicting to listen to, such as "Tonight." The music video for that song is what made me buy the album. The lyric, "You asked for silver and I gave you gold, and asked nothing from you" is my favorate lyric from that song. The other singles are good as well, "On and On," "Demon eyes," and "Comfort Zone."
Overall this is a great effort by the band...I'm really looking forward to their upcoming albums! This band really has talented and they have a patiential of producing a classic album, no now, but soon. Just watch these guys.

Return of Hard Rock,

As this is being written, The Answer are receiving acclaim for opening AC/DC's "Black Ice" tour. The Irish band is seemingly preparing an invasion of America with their debut `Everyday Demons' available on March 31, 2009. Specializing in riff heavy rock, The Answer's debut rekindles the fire in heavy metal and could possibly eliminate the need for any more Nickelback albums to be released. The Answer finds their inspiration in the classic sound of heavy metal from groups ranging from Free to Thin Lizzy. Their sound is blues based with a heavy dose of pop music thrown in which made them such a stellar match for AC/DC crowds.
The record opens with "Demon Eyes" which builds from a simple riff into something that sounds suspiciously Zepplinesque. Cormac Neeson's vocals call to mind a combination of Paul Rodgers and Robert Plant throughout the album. "Demon Eyes" leads nicely into "Too Far Gone," a rocker that calls to mind Thin Lizzy. Phil Lynott would be proud. The production on the album is thick with the air of 70's rock as "Cry Out" wouldn't be out of place on a KISS album. The Answer never loses their bluesy touches, but the album does get bogged down in the middle by sameness amongst several of the tracks from "Pride" to "Tonight." These tracks aren't terrible; they just all start to sound the same until the jagged "Dead of Night" shakes things up again. The ballad " Comfort Zone" features a "Friends" era Page guitar intro and closer "Evil Man" could have been taken from any Bad Company record. The Answer could prove to be the antidote to the current AOR radio malaise and wipe away the sludge that is currently in heavy rotation.
