About the Author

Earlene Gleisner has been a Registered Nurse for 37 years and has worked in all areas and specialties of nursing care. She has worked with Reiki and the Usui System of Natural Healing since 1983 and has been teaching since 1988. Her book, "Reiki In Everyday Living", was first published in 1991 and has been translated into four languages and sold in Europe, South American, South Africa, and India. She has also written, "Just For Today", a short story about the Reiki Precepts with a Native American flavor and submitted a chapter on Reiki in "Principles and Practice of Manual Therapeutics", a teaching tool for medical doctors.

She continues to offer Reiki and teach throughout California and the United States and has developed other seminars which she hopes will help individuals to connect with the personal relationships which support healing of self and the natural world.

Reiki In Everyday Living has the same steady inspiration that was present in the first edition but is now formatted in a style that is easier to read with little bullets to the side that stuck in my mind for days.
What a joy to have so much heart felt information in one place.
This is a book that will never grow old with me.

I found this book very earthed and very clear.
The writing was very open, honest, warm and loving.
It is a positive book and trusts in the reader's common sense.
A recommended read.
