In Everyday Magic Australian-based shaman Nevill Drury speaks to the spiritual foundation of magic: to discover your true calling and then ask the universe for support in manifesting your reason for being. Every meditation, vision, and spell is held to a spiritual litmus test: Will it support a greater good? Is it intended to enhance my true calling? This accountability toward magic-making is especially needed in a market that is glutted with irreverent and even irresponsible books. Drury (The History of Modern Magic), a lecturer and workshop leader, is clearly grounded in the historical and scientific roots of magic. Still, Drury's narration is best when he's in workshop mode--teaching the nuts and bolts of visualizations, affirmations, spells, and how to create a sacred space. Nevill Drury is well known for his numerous books on magic and visionary consciousness. Based in Australia, he has held workshops and given lectures on the magical traditions for more than twenty years, and his books have been published in fifteen different languages.
