Tobin Blake is the author of "Everyday Meditation," a 25 Books Every Man Must Read selection of Conversations Magazine; "The Power of Stillness"; and "The Healing of Jordan Young: A Remarkable True Story and a 21st Century Spiritual Guide to Healing" (scheduled for release, October, 2015). He received training in meditation and Kriya Yoga through Self-Realization Fellowship, but has studied many forms of dharma. He is also long-time disciple of A Course in Miracles.

Everyday Meditation is a great Meditation book. After a really helpful introdcution Tobin Blake gives a series of 100 Introductions and Meditation to directly apply to your daily life. It does not take long time and it is really effective, after a couple of days you alread feel great with your life and have a much more optimistic and realistic point of view.
These 100 days are grouped in blocks of 10 days, where each of them has a specific purpose which is discussed in the beginning of each block. So that you can really understand and apply the concept he is explaining.
This is Tobin's second book (the first one is called The Power of Stillness) and both of them are really great! Especially if you are new to meditation this is a easy and useful starter. And if you have been meditating for longer time this is a great book to return with many mantras, exercises and so on to give you new ideas.
I definitely recomment this book.

I have had this book for many months now and still reach for it almost everyday. I highly recommend "Everyday Meditation" not only as a helpful step-by-step meditation guide but also as a companion on your spiritual journey. Tobin teaches a variety of techniques and focus objects allowing you to find one or more personally suited to your needs. This variety has kept me from becoming bored as I have a tendency to get complacent when things become mundane or repetitious. This truly adds to the motivation to meditate on a more consistent basis. I have found the daily focus sentences written atop every page a useful reminder and extremely helpful in bringing me back to the peaceful state achieved during my structured meditation time. This is a valuable practice that I've never learned before. Tobin also explains the techniques for the process of meditation while keeping in mind the importance of proper spinal alignment allowing one to become
comfortable enough to achieve a deeper state of consciousness.

Tobin is an excellent teacher with obvious profound life experience. He has an innate ability to guide one on their path to a deeper relationship with their being. His wisdom encourages me every time I read a passage from his book - and there are many days when I need such encouragement. I look forward to my time in meditation now. It has become an enjoyable process that easily flows for me and brings a deeper level of peace and stillness to everyday.

I have Tobin's first book, The Power of Stillness that has become irreplacable for me in my meditative practice. His second book, Everyday Meditation is even better. Tobin has a gift in being able to take a metaphysical topic like meditation and explain it in very practical terms. He is able to address the many conflicts that we encounter all day that keeps us from meditating and he gives us a new understanding on how to work with all those conflicts. He uses baby steps to bring us to new levels of experiences. But he presents each step with new and interesting ideas so you are excited to explore the next level. Every meditation becomes a tiny bit more challenging, more interesting and fun. I have never written a review before, but this book is well worth it!

In Everyday Meditation, Tobin Blake provides a platform to strengthen the foundation of the path to internal peace. He goes beyond meditative practices and imparts spiritual wisdom in a manner that will reinforce the experience, while augmenting the religious views of any reader.

Even after almost 20 years of practice, I return to Tobin's book regularly, knowing it will enhance my meditation sessions.

On its own, Everyday Meditation provides many useful lessons in looking inward. It is also a fitting companion to his earlier work, The Power of Stillness: Learn Meditation in 30 Days, for those who wish to extend those practical, basic lessons into further exploration of the meaning of life, or just find a means to decrease the stress of everyday living.

In Tobin Blake's second book on meditation entitled Everyday Meditations, he writes of more than just meditative practices. He writes in his book of essential truths which maybe we all felt but denied or didn't have the courage to express or live by.

For instance, in the chapter on emotional balance he wrote of how our grievances only cause us distress and pain and poison us the longer we hold onto them or the other way around, they never bring anything positive to our lives. He also states that the wars we see going on in the world are a reflection of the wars going on deep inside every one of us and with the people in our personal lives.

This noble little book is a mixture of the spiritual, psychological , medical and practical written with a diction which is comfortable for everyone and non threatening.
Blake proved with his first book on meditation "The Power of Stillness: Learn meditation in 30 days,"that guides on this practice don't have to be difficult for the new comer to understand and that meditation can be practiced by everyone whether a Buddhist monk or a person on the street and he continues to demonstrate this in Everyday Meditation: 100 daily meditations for health. Stress relief and everyday joy.
