Classic book from a master of manifestation,
By Cynthia Sue Larson "www.realityshifters.com" (San Francisco bay area, CA USA) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
David Spangler's book is a wonderfully clear book that is packed with useful tips on how to create the life you most desire. There is an energy to miracles, as Spangler describes the steps he has found to be most effective at "transforming a wave of possibility into a particle of actuality". This book provides excellent tools for anyone who feels a need to focus their manifestation powers more clearly, and even includes a chapter of how to overcome difficulties that people commonly encounter with their manifestations. Spangler shares fascinating true manifestation stories, and reminds us that we have all experienced manifestation in our lives. Often we think of these moments when our wishes and dreams came true as synchronicities -- yet there is truly an art of manifestation, of "changing and fine-tuning the web of relationship and interconnection" -- and Spangler is the perfect guide to show us how to refine our manifestation techniques for more beautiful and enjoyable results. Spangler's manifestation fitness program focuses on maintaining a healthy body, finding our rhythm, recognizing limits, focusing on the present moment, forgiving, keeping a sense of wonder, allowing for possibilities, positive thinking, gratitude, spirituality, and compassion. He provides useful and easy-to-do visualization exercises that help us understand how to understand the way we are creating, and begin to bring more of what we most desire into our lives. Manifestation rituals, such as "boiling reality" are described in detail, so that even complete novices can successfully achieve good manifestation results. Numerous exercises, such as "welcoming the new you with love", and "projecting the light of your will" are provided throughout the book, giving the reader ample opportunity to practice the techniques as they are being described.

Extraordinary,

This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
This is an amazing book -- not just "wishful thinking", not just "power of positive thinking" "new Age" visualization techniques etc. No, this is something far more profound. Don't just skim through the manifestation exercises - do them. They work -- so far for me! The chapter on "boiling reality" is extraordinary. My guess is that a lot of this stuff -- way out as it sounds -- will be verified by quantum physics theory. Time is not linear, and neither is space. This is sort of like a guide to making play-dough out of it all. Which is to say, it's fun!

Manifesting,
By Kathi (Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
In times of great cosmic questioning, such as, "Why haven't I manifested my dream yet?", this book proves helpful, like an answered prayer. Perfect for anyone who has always asked the REALLY BIG questions, like, "What is God?" or "How does manifestation happen?" or "Is there a pre-ordained blueprint to the outcome of my life or do I really have free will?" It puts the power of producing right back in the readers lap. Empowering! I especially liked the authors way of breaking down the complex theory of Quantum Physics into easily understandable terms for the layperson. If you like the works of Gary Zukav and Deepak Chopra, you'll really enjoy David Spangler.

Every Day Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation,
This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
I found this book to be one of the more profound books which I have ever read about the nature of faith and expectation. It is a must read. More than this, it is one of the rare books I WILL read again. To me, Spangler is the genuine article... a man who digs into his own experience and comes up with realizations worth sharing. He shares them! It is a gem, in that it steers the reader away from spiritual pride, and group think, and towards a real relationship with the source of miracles.

Great Primer on Manifesting,
This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
I have read this book a while back and I remember it fondly because it has some very good points. If you know nothing about quantum physics and don't care to learn much, this book will guide you through just enough of the principles of quantum physics to help you use that information for manifesting.
It will also guide you through possible pitfalls you can encounter - as in when you get what you wanted, but you also get as a bonus bunch of things you'd rather be without. I have very much appreciated that mention because it happened to me more times than I can count that I so easy creaed what I wanted and then some things I absolutely didn't want.

This is the best of Spangler's books I've read in this decade (many years ago I read several of his books and found them good but unfortunately can't now remember their content specifically).
The main content of the present book is David's advice as to how to tackle manifestation projects. This is presented in great detail and with a high level of spirituality. David's process includes the following: creating a sacred space, invocation, silence, embracing current reality, attuning to coincidence and miracle, attuning to spirit and the sacred, contacting a spiritual ally, engaging in blessing, invoking presence and "boiling" reality, energizing the seed of the new you with love, etc etc. This is an inspiring and transformative process. You will need to devote a lot of time/energy to the process, but I'm sure that if you prioritize this, you will be rewarded at least by your taking a big step forward as regards spiritual development, and hopefully also by manifesting what you desire. For me the highlights of the book are where David describes the many instances where he and others were able to manifest what they needed/wanted without going through the somewhat laborious process he describes, but where the manifestation seemed to occur spontaneously by their simply following their intuition and doing what they felt like doing. For instance, many years ago he was looking for a job but thought he would just take a little trip to Findhorn in Scotland, little realizing that this would lead to the offer of a life-changing job opportunity, which in fact was the case. This is definitely an inspiring book. David states that manifestation is "about being, not getting". It "makes soul visible". He says he wants to "make the ordinary miraculous, and the miraculous ordinary". He regards what he calls "presence" as a necessary factor for successful manifestation. I can't really summarize what he means by "presence", but he states: "a thought or feeling, a physical sensation or a mystical experience, a clear intent or a strong need - or a combination of any or all of these - can be the trigger that draws our scattered parts together into a wholeness. For that moment, we are the whole spectrum of our possibilities and realities ... we are wholly present and in presence." He concludes that it is not thought but presence that creates our reality. I personally have experienced manifestation occurring in two ways: 1) suddenly feeling a deep desire for something/someone, subsequent to which I let go of the desire and in fact forgot all about it 2) in the case of DEEP need (for money) I decided to let go of all worry and negative thinking and simply be in the moment, enjoy life and feel great. In case 1) (two examples) the object of my desire turned up out of the blue a couple of days subsequent to the experience of the released desire. In case 2) I also had two experiences, the one where two bank notes literally flew towards me in the wind and dropped at my feet and the other where I dug up a gold ring in my garden, and was able to sell it for enough money to last me until the end of the month. Unfortunately, such experiences are not easily repeatable, and probably have something to do with what David calls "presence". If you are willing to invest time and energy in working with this manifestation process, or if you simply wish to be inspired by his various tales of more or less spontaneous manifestation and in general by his gift of himself (since he absolutely proffers the gift of himself in this book, and perhaps in all his books) then I would strongly recommend that you buy/read the book.

Some good insights, some new age fluff.,

This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
I was initially intrigued at why this particular book was being sold 'used' at such an exorbitant price. Despite it being 'out of print' there must be some incredible information contained in this book's pages that demand top dollar for it's purchase. Is it worth it to spend $49 or more for this book. No way. That's not to say there is nothing good in this book. There is a insightful discussion on the basic mechanics of manifestation. I personally feel, however, that it is all said best in Chapter 5 of the book, The Manifestation Fitness Program. It includes a discussion on topics such as Forgiveness, Wonderment, Possibility, Gratitude, and how they interact to create the ideal climate for manifestation. There are a series of visualizations toward the end of this book that must have gone over my head. I found them to be a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Overall, a decent book worth about $10 for a purchase.

Ok. But not very realistic,

This review is from: Everyday Miracles: The Inner Art of Manifestation (Paperback)
I think this book has good and bad points. He goes on about being able to manifest anything, but the prerequisite seems to be being a Christian, even though he implies this very subtly. I think he has the right intentions, but this book is really just a long-winded way of expressing the whole 'wishful thinking' epithet. And one can do that without spending money!
