About the Author

Patrick McDonnell's Mutts has been syndicated since 1994 and today is carried by nearly 600 papers in over 20 countries. McDonnell's illustration work has appeared in an array of major publications, including the New York Times, Reader's Digest, Sports Illustrated, and Time. The official Mutts Web site had two million unique visitors last year and can be found at www.muttscomics.com. McDonnell is on the boards of the Humane Society of the United States and the Fund for Animals. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Karen, the real-life Earl, and MeeMow the cat.

More About the Author

Patrick McDonnell is a New York Times best-selling author. He received the National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award for Cartoonist of the Year in 1999, and Mutts was named Strip of the Year in 1997. A dedicated animal advocate and Genesis Award recipient, McDonnell regularly lends his talents to animal protection groups and issues, including the Humane Society of the United States, where he serves on the national board of directors. McDonnell was also recently elected to the board of directors of the Charles M. Schulz Museum. He is a native of New Jersey.

What's not to love about MUTTS? The characters are all amazingly big hearted, including Sour Puss, and it's just a feel good Comic. If you haven't read any of the MUTTS stuff, start now! Buy Mutts, the first collection, and go from there! If you are an animal lover and an "environmentalist" this is the series for you! Patrick McDonnnell presents his ideas on conservation, preservation, and doing our part for the world and for all the living creatures in it in a humorous and heartfelt way.

The "Mutts" books are delightful. So easy to just pick up the book, open it to any page & chuckle. All the characters are fun & have distinct personalities.

Another wonderful volume that continues the series adventures of Mooch and Earl, plus the rest of the cast of characters from the world of Mutts. A must-read for animal lovers, conservationists, and Mutts fans. If you haven't read Mutts before you will simply love this book for its simplicity, humor, and themes.
