Pure energy, June 29, 2000
This review is from: Everyday Ninjas (Audio CD)
I was visiting my girlfriend in Minneapolis for the first time, and she recommend we go to a small music club downtown called the Fine Line Cafe. I noticed the name of the band that night was "3 Minute Hero". "Trust me", my girlfriend said "You'll like them". We stood somewhat close to the stage. There was a big open space up front with people standing around. What seemed like enough people to fill a basketball roster were up on stage with an impressive array of instruments. All was quiet. There was an electricity in the air. One of the bandmembers shouted "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR" and the entire place erupted. I have never before in my life witnessed a scene like this. Not a single person was left in their seat. Every one of us was dancing like we were possessed - it had to be one of the most memorable evenings of my life, and 3 Minute Hero, at that moment became one of my favorite bands and definitely one of the best live show I have ever seen.
Once again, I was amazed by them . . . when I purchased their CD. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to package not only great music, fun - insightful lyrics, and an incredible beat into that small plastic case, but all that energy I felt that night as well. Buy this CD! You willl NOT be dissapointed.

Exciting, Crazy, Fabulous Ska!, June 21, 2000
This review is from: Everyday Ninjas (Audio CD)
This band is fantastic. They put so much energy into their music. The lyrics alone make this a CD worth owning. Talk about original, these guys will have you wondering about their sanity as they have you dancing around your room. Check out the great trumpet and bone solos. Some faves are: Lust, Jelly Donut, and Mean Man. Last but not least, if you ever have a chance, go see a show, they know how to rile up the crowd! I wish I were still in MN...
