5.0 out of 5 stars Buying a Second Time
I bought this album when it originially came out (I can't remember the year right now). My old copy has simply been beat up so many times that I have to replace it. That ought to tell what I think of this album.

I recommend this album to anyone wishing to get into Panic. It still rates as my favorite Panic album, with Wrangler a close second. I think this was the...

3.0 out of 5 stars New direction---muddled sound
FIRST WITH JOHN HERRMAN (NOT A GOOD THING)

Released in 1993, this is Widespread Panic's third album. It is 60 minutes long. The sound quality is OK, but the is mix muddled and muted at times. At times, the songs become indistinquishable, a lot like their live shows used to be.

Widespread Panic's first two albums were great, easily five star...

I think this was the pinnacle of the band's career in the studio. If you are a Phish fan, it comparable to Rift. It's just a really well produced studio album. That is, when the songs match the effort that goes into putting the music down on tape, you know you are in for a treat.

I've seen Panic play over 50 times in the last 11 years, and I own about 200 live shows. When listening to a live show and hearing an Everyday tune, I constantly find myself pulling the show out of my cd player and putting in the studio album. The studio versions are just that good!

5.0 out of 5 stars almost the perfect cd, February 14, 2000

Widespread Panic's cds have a unique ability to make whatever it is you are doing more pleasant. Everyday is my favorite cd of theirs. It is a cd you will not get sick of. You can go weeks with out taking it out of your cd player. I would say that this cd is worth the money. And that means a lot comming from me. The average cd has a couple good songs on there and we pay 15 dollars or so, but this cd, and all of their other cds, are just full of great songs. And I would recommend this cd to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars This album proves that they are one of the best bands around, June 15, 1999

What can I say, this is the album I play to anyone who has not heard of WSP. From the first note on the album to the last word sung, Everyday in my mind is amazing work. Hatfield and Pickin' Up The Pieces are great songs to jam out to and a song like Pilgrims puts your mind at ease. This is the album that got me hooked!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The album that got me hooked on WSP, March 4, 2002

I first saw Widespread Panic on an old Austin City Limits episode and liked what I saw so I started to check out the catalog and bought "Everyday." This is the best WSP album. Every track is tremendous. "Papa's Home", "Henry Parson's Died" and "Pilgrims" are the best tracks. How much did I enjoy it? I went out and bought all of the other albums and went to their concert in Syracuse. I highly recommend giving them a listen if you are a fan of jam bands, southern rock and blues. John Bell's vocals are wonderfully unique and Michael Houser's guitar work is terrific. Even Domingo Ortiz's percussion is a nice touch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never before, never again., May 9, 2001
This review is from: Everyday (Audio CD)
Never before have I heard such a collection of brilliant songs put on one disc. Hatfield, Papa and Diner leave me astonished every time I listen to them. My favorite disc of all-time. I always recommend it to friends considering buying their first WP disc. I hope others are able to share in the joy of WP music as much as I have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Album Ever Recorded, February 16, 2001

What isn't there to like about Widespread Panic's Everyday? Every single song is phenomenal. It contains some of the best songs WP has done in the studio and the sound quality is amazing. With songs like Hatfield, Henry Parsons Died and Diner we're given an example of WP's songwriting and story telling prowess. They display their amazing percussion abilities on Pickin' Up the Pieces. They're one of the few bands that have been able to successfully blend Country, Southern Rock, and even Jazz. They're able to package it into, what I consider to be, the best example of the Jam band potential. Widespread is definitely a Jam band. However, Everyday elevates them to the same level as many of the bands that influenced them (i.e. The Doors, J.J. Cale, etc.).

This is Widespread's best CD ever. Every song is a hit and anyone can enjoy it. Easy going but great rock-n-roll too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spring 1993, it all began, April 28, 2003

Spring 1993. Freshman year at the University of Georgia wrapping up. Spring is in the air in Athens, GA. Friend calls and says that a band called Widespread Panic is playing their school's "Spring Fling." Friend says, "I don't know much about them, but they're from Athens." All I ask is what day and what time!

At the time, Everyday was getting heavy, heavy play in the dorm hall. It began to even drown out the guys who played Jane's Addiction incessantly (not really a bad thing). A drive to Presbyterian College for this WP show was a no-brainer. It was in the Chapel on their campus and only 100 people showed up! What was amazing was that my told me Hootie and the Blowfish were playing in Charleston. They were some new hot band and those in the "know" had driven to that show.

The WP show in the Presbyterian College Chapel was one of the most amazing events I've ever witnessed. This album is a perfect buy for those curious about the band and even those who are WP "Purists" that insist that Everyday is too poppy.

I really like this WP album. It's probably my favorite one, and as a fairly new WP fan, I urge new WP fans to get this one.

Everyday is just one brick in the wall being built to be the biggest band ever (underground) every cd has different styles but same backgrounds to it and this cd they give a different back home sound that feels good to listen to , every song on here I can listen to and they play everysong on here live , becasue their so good , if they come to town see them , trust me you wont be mad but glad and will want more , this cd has got the goods along with their others and they should get mroe credit but its better they stay underground so the media wont bring them down , but they are non stop touring and been since 85' but if you dont believe ask urself this .....How can a band that doesnt have a music video sell out a 3 day show in minutes at 40 bucks a ticket?????
