Great trip hop -- very mellow and smooth, beautiful vocals that perfectly compliment and don't overpower the grooves.

This album like the other reviewers said is very GOOD. It has good varitety, meaning you'll never hear the same track twice. I also think the guest singers compliment the album well. The music is top of the line and the production is also very well done. If you like downtempo I have no doubt this will become one of your favorite albums.

Great Chill-Down-Trip-Groove,
By
This review is from: Everyone Loves You (Audio CD)
I originally picked this up for "Go" but the whole CD has a great Chillout, Downtempo, Trip-Hop Groove running through it that is just right. None of these genres overpowers any of the others but they're all there, layered and mixed in just the right proportions.
There's quite a bit of variety across the song mix so there's enough going on to keep you interested but it all stays tied together by a nice groove. You can lounge on the couch and tap your toes or get up and shake your booty. Either way it'll be sweet and smooth. It's great for relaxing on the couch with a glass of wine or as not-too-loud background music at a dinner party.

Everyone Loves You,

When I heard pappelallee I was thrilled because, although some tracks seemed somewhat halfheartedly made - other tracks like fade out and option have a sound to them that could makes me want to listen to them over and over again.
Naturally, I was happy to buy this album, hoping there would be more of the stuff found in the above mentioned tracks on Pappelallee. This album, rather, seems even more bifurcated between what seems to be solid and full of potential, that is, the instrumental parts of the tracks, and what I think is borderline amateurish singing. I would've much rather found the singing downplayed and the ambient instrumental parts upheld. Especially the female singer gets on my nerves - her voice doesn't seem to compliment the mood and sound of the instruments and sounds used. With that said, there is a couple of tracks on this album, that I find captivating enough to keep listening to.

For DJ's - Some Great Raw Chill Tracks Ready for Remixing,

For Dj's, some nice, sleek, sparse, open-ended minimalist tracks that's a perfect 'chill' starter base for you to build upon. If you're a DJ, you can add another star - for straightforward listening, it's solid twee trip hop/atmospheric chill but most sound just a bit incomplete for just listening.

Modern Music for Downtempo Listening,

Its hard to describe music drawn from so many sources. A wonderful collection of electro infused downbeat, with hints of dub, pop sensibilities, and some world for good measure. All tastefully swirled into a beautiful composition which many artists strive for, but rarely achieve with such focus. Its hard to pick favorite tracks because each one draws attention to itself yet stays true to the overall flow of the album. Lots of good things to look forward to from this new artist.

An obscure album from an obscure German electronica band. I got curious after I heard a track that was used in a Paris Lounge album. The track "Anyone Here" is but one of the many treats you'll find on this CD. It may be a bit pricey, but it's worth the trouble. Don't expect to hear any of it on US radio stations though. This is more of a European taste than the humdrum, boring American bands.
