Incredibly underrated band!,

In their debut album, Far-Less emerge out of a thick smoke of aggressive, screamy, hardcore acts with pop sensibilities to unveil a style immediately reminiscent of Classic Case and Glassjaw. Still, to throw them into a box labeled a certain way would be giving this band way too little credit.
On their debut EP, we heard a band who were growing and maturing, and while their sound was scattered, it seems their focus wasn't lost. "Everyone Is Out To Get Us" reveals an array of songs, from staggered chord blasts on "Jumping The Shark" to mellow, rhythmical, and ambient guitar hooks on "It Gets Complicated." At moments, the band pummels you with intense breakdowns and chaotic drumming, and at other moments the band falls into grooving, driving guitar riffs. At every moment, the harmonies are on target, and while sometimes it's hard to keep up with the occassionally confusing tempo changes and melody changes, the band is consistently one thing: different. All of the songs tend to have a different appeal and mood, and while sometimes the listener might find themselves getting confused with all the soundscapes this band travels on, fans of heavy, belligerent rock who are fans of superb drumming, time and chord changes, and relatively catchy vocals will find a nice sound in Far-Less. Truly, the most interesting thing about the first full-length from Far-Less is their ability to be screaming and smashing chords together one second, and the next swirling things into catchy, harmonious anthems. Though the band is surely not donig anything truly ground-breaking, each song is refreshing in its own way, and yet it seems their stylistic ambitions aren't outweighed by their ability to maintain fluidity.

This a really good album. I'll make my praise for it quick. Everyone on this album are talented musicians. Most noteworthy of them all is the singer(Is his name Brandon?) He ads extra depth to the songs and his voice is one of the best i have heard. The drummer moves like crazy on the drums, and the guitars are pretty good(no break out solos, though) The bassist has some cool parts in the songs too. Get this CD, it will be worth it, trust me. I can't wait untill their next album, i fully expect for it to blow me away.
