Yikes!, June 22, 2009

As a musical theatre geek, I was expecting to find this Kathy Lee-conceived project to be a littel gem what with David Friedman as composer and a boat-full of well-respected musical theatre performers. The end-product proves to be a sad disappointment. I know these are true stories set to music but the whole thing comes off as trite and cliche. "Orchestrations" are heavily synthesized which gives the recording a cheap sound. Everyone on this disc deserves far better.
