5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, powerful route to Vision/Values/Mission for business, July 15, 1997
By A Customer
I learned more about leadership principles from this simple little book than from all the weighty tomes on the shelf. Boylan has distilled his thoughts on discovering and communicating vision, vales and mission, a subject that I feel is currently overthought and underdelivered. I highly recommend it to business consultants, CEOs, team leaders, self-help groups, schools, families. The author's practical, simple and profound message can help cure the sense of directionless that many of us are feeling. Great read, lots of fun, tons of wisdom

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for New Managers, December 27, 2010
I think one of the main challenges a person that is new to "managing" has is keeping the employees focused on what is important and taking their jobs seriously. This book helps with that quiet a bit. It's an easy read and has some great tips on getting them motivated to please you and do the best job possible.

4.0 out of 5 stars good book, November 20, 2010

This review is from: Get Everyone in Your Boat Rowing in the Same Direction: 5 Leadership Principles to Follow So Others Will Follow You (Paperback)
This quick, easy to read guide is a decent source of ideas. I foudn that it is geared toward the leadership tendancies of corporate America and less toward education though. There are some good thoughts that do come out of it and it is written in an easily understood way. The layout is also quite well done.
