I am a nurse, and I recommend this book to almost everyone. It is written at a decent level - not dumbed down, but not too technical. Information is current, helpful and practical. For less than 25 bucks, it is a bargain! Family and friends will benefit as well as people with cancer.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Comprehensive and Readable Book on Cancer, March 15, 2006
This review is from: Everyone'S Guide To Cancer Therapy 4th Edition (Paperback)
I received a an earlier edition of this book in 1991 when I was diagnosed with colon cancer and found that the information on cancer was presented in such a way that most people could understand. Since that time, whenever I hear of someone having cancer, I buy a copy of the book and give it to them. The book is very comprehensive and besides covering all the different sites for cancer as well as treatment, it is well illustrated and has many references.

This review is from: Everyone'S Guide To Cancer Therapy 4th Edition (Paperback)
Written by several doctors, which was referred to me by my surgeon, explains in laymans terms... covers all types of cancers and treatments. Worth buying. Dedicates a whole chapter to the thyroid.
